 Tu 11/3/20- Election Day/Vet Visit With Buddy! 

Read from 6-7am and then napped till 8am. I finished 'THE HANDS OF A STRANGER' by Robert Daley. Bright and sunny with temps to 70.

Wrote up 'THE HANDS OF A STRANGER' for the blog.

Then I watched 'A YELLOW BIRD' (Netflix). Set in the extreme poverty of Singapore, Malaysia an ex-convict on parole tries to locate his family. He lives with his resentful mother and is employed as a paid mourner in Japanese funerals and for a time works as a bodyguard for a street prostitute (she works from a tent adjacent to a highway overpass). Not much of a storyline, but beautifully shot and acutely distressing. The director's mother believed that seeing a yellow bird brought good luck. Hence the title. 

1215pm: 4 MILES on the treadmill. More of the wacky conversation with Kanye West, part of the live BLACK CROWES concert from 1992, and I finished Rogan's discussion with Tristan Harris.

I then watched 'THE SOCIAL DILEMMA' which is his film that Harris was talking about during the podcast.

***Just after I came up from downstairs at 130pm Buddy threw up a huge amount. His box seems dry and I think his urinary problems are back. I called the vet and they will see him at 330pm today which will include his 'Wellness Visit'. 

I arrived about 320pm and you call in from the parking lot and they come out and get your animal. Then the doctor calls you for the details of why you came. I told her Buddy's symptoms and she called back in about ten minutes to say that his bladder was empty, but seemed a little 'red/tender'?  She asked me to leave him until about 515pm so that they can get a urine sample. I came back and watched the end of 'THE SOCIAL DILEMMA'. An interesting documentary, but I think I've seen it. The interview with Rogan was better than the film.

***130pm...Buddy threw up a huge amount. I scheduled his Wellness Exam for today and we went in at 330pm. In the lot you call and they come to the car. The vet wanted a urine sample so they held him till 530pm. His bladder is 'tender' so he gets more antibiotics and they want to keep him all day on Nov. 24th to do blood work. I gave him a dose when we got home and he seems his normal self.

THREE MORE MILES on the treadmill and watched Dr. Phil on Rogan. 

In the tub with NICHOLAS RINALDI and listening to PORTISHEAD, THE PONYS, THE POSTAL SERVICE. ***Amazon Music fucking cutting out! Why is this still a problem? FUCK IT! JAMES BROWN GREATESTS on YouTube Music. 

Watched 'MELODY MAKERS' (Amazon Prime). Fantastic  rock photos from the late sixties and seventies. 

***At 11pm it's still a tight and close race for the presidency...Biden has a slight edge in the electoral college: Biden at 205 to Trump's 114.

We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
