Fr 12/11/20- County Market: $89/ Buddy Better

 Fr 12/11/20- County Market; $89.

Up 815am: Overcast with rain predicted for this afternoon and through the night- to low 50's.

To Fairhills by 9am and home by 930am.

***Buddy did not throw up again during the night and he was his usual upbeat and hungry self this morning. Hopefully he can hold down and digest all of his food today and I continued with the gel-pen medication.

Watched 'TRIPLE 9' (Netflix). Crooked cops in Atlanta work with a very powerful Russian/Jewish organized crime family...Lots of Boom-Boom and although it's not the best of the genre, it is most definitely worth a look; Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Afflect, Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Norman Reedus, and Clifton Collins Jr. (the guy that played one of the murderers in 'CAPOTE'). 'Triple 9' is a police code for a cop who is down and presumed dead.

115pm:On the treadmill for THREE MILES  and finished Joe Rogan's conversation with Hamilton Morris, the guy with an absurd amount of knowledge about drugs, the chemistry of drugs, and how they relate to society and the law. I want to hear more of Morris...his father is the documentarian, Erroll Morris.

Then I watched 'MANK' (Netflix). Shot in black and white the film is a profile of the 1930's Hollywood screenwriter, Herman Mankiewicz. The film features many actual historical characters who might have been more worthy of movie treatment than this besotted and acerbic screen scribe. Claim To Fame: He co-wrote 'Citizen Kane' with Orson Welles and didn't receive proper credit'; with Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, and Tom Burke. I was expecting more.

540pm: THREE MILES ON THE TREADMILL  part of another podcast with HAMILTON MORRIS and part of a SARAH SILVERMAN podcast with JOHN C. Reilly, Tim HEIDECKER,  and FRED ARMISEN.

In the tub with 'DROP CITY' and listening to GRANT HART, ***TV turned on in the living room while I opened YouTube on the phone. Watdafuck! Everything seems back to normal, but incredulity remains... THE GUN CLUB, JAZZ on YOUTUBE MUSIC.

I watched '1/1' (Amazon Prime).

From 'General Trivia' at Amazon Prime:

"The visual language of the film mirrors the coming-of-age that the main character lissa, played by Lindsey Shaw, experiences. As she matures, so does the film, moving from raw and fragmented to steady and polished."

Set in an economically collapsed rural Rust Belt town, a young woman frets that she might be pregnant and tries to deal with the suicide of her father. Mom seems like a psycho, and won't reveal the truth that Dad loved her, but he was whacky as shit. Another strange film; with Lindsey Shaw (she was very good), Judd Nelson, and Dendrie Taylor.
