Up 815am: Very cold and snow beginning late this afternoon. 1-3 inches could fall and temps in the upper teens.

Watched 'AMERICAN HUSTLE' (Tubi). A terrific cast and a great grifter saga. The theme of the film is that to be impervious to deceit and chicanery you must have absolute faith and supreme confidence that you cannot get something for nothing. "You mean I give you $5,000 and then you give me $50,000...I'm in!"; with Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Jennifer Lawrence, Louis C.K., Michael Pena, and Shea Whigham. 

120pm: Walked to County Market Pharmacy for Tamsulosin. Down Chatham and also bought two boxes of Saltines for three bucks. Back behind the school and over to Lawrence up the paths in the golf course, Fairway, and up to 940...55 Minutes.

245pm: ON THE TREADMILL. 2 Miles and watched an 'FBI FILES' (Amazon Prime), and then read 'TALK TALK' for a while in the living room room.

430pm: Watched 'KILL THE HABIT' (Amazon Prime). A surprisingly well done low budget independent about a young woman who accidentally kills her drug dealer. The plotline includes lots of coke snorting, driving around with a dead body bundled up in a rug on the car roof, lesbian love, and even a Bris Ceremony. Worth a look; with Lili Mirojnick, Katerina Moutsatsou, Maria-Elena Laas.

620pm: ON THE TREADMILL...A MILE AND A HALF ~ 30" and more of ANNIE LEDERMAN on GINGER BEARD~ Andrew Santino. 

In the tub with TC BOYLE and listening to BUICK 6, LUCINDA WILLIAMS Live at the Fillmore. 

Watched 'Heroin's Grip' (Tubi). A very 'Pro' and hardline presentation about 'AA' and 'The Twelve Step' approach in general. Unfortunately AA has a very dismal success rate and it's been that way for almost a century. It's crazy that medicine is so far behind in this extremely import area.  

A couple of tokes and watched 'IN SEARCH OF DOC HOLLIDAY' (Tubi). A dentist from Valdosta, Georgia becomes a legendary gun fighter. Paused: 25".

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
