***Buddy is not nearly as active and although he still gets excited about his canned food, he seems down and rests too much. I hope that it's just the intense cold, but I doubt it. 

Up 740am: Sunny early, but more snow (very light) for this afternoon and temps won't leave the low teens. Temps won't get over 20 for the next week.

Watched 'BLACK BEACH' (Netflix). A competent, yet lackluster Spanish Thriller. A Spanish oil executive is sent to Africa to arrange the release of an engineer believed to have been kidnapped. He has personal ties to this 3rd World island off the east African coast and soon finds that what really happened is not what his superiors are saying. This genre of film is called 'White Savior' in that African countries are treated as if they always need assistance from their more intelligent and wealthier and  lighter skinned comrades: "The White Man's Burden". Some of the African locations were incredible; filmed in Ghana, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain, Madrid, and Brussels.

Then I watched more of 'THE SEARCH FOR DOC HOLLIDAY' (Tupi) that I began last night. 'Hollidaying' is a term for charging someone with a minor local crime to prevent them from being extradited.  Holliday was wanted for crimes committed in other states and this legal maneuver prevented him from facing those charges.

1245: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles at 3.2 pace. Watched TIM DILLON on WHITNEY CUMMINGS.

I read 'TALK TALK' in the living room and listened to EDDIE HINTON, KEVIN GORDON. 

Watched 'REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER' (Amazon Prime). Uneven, but parts were hilarious. A mockumentary about a guy in Austin, TX who has become part of the State of Texas's 'Registered Sex Offender' program. 'Registered' also means that you must introduce yourself and admit to being a sex offender to all of your neighbors; with Kristen Tucker, Kevin Corrigan, Andrew Bujalski, Nick Offerman, and Richard Linklater.

6pm: ON THE TREADMILL... Watched more of ROGAN/PAPPAS and TIM DILLON with WHITNEY CUMMINGS. 

In the tub with TC BOYLE and listening to WILLIE SUGARCAPPS, KEVIN GORDON. 

Watched episode #1 of 'THE SINNER' (Netflix) and 25" into episode #2.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
