Up 830am: Very windy and rainy most of the day- 30's. Five beers last night and a bit ragged this morning, but I didn't feel as bad as I thought I would.

Watched 'SONS OF DENMARK' (Kanopy). Slow and dramatic tale of the rise of nationalism in Denmark. Immigrants push back against racist policies and an undercover cop questions whether he is doing the right thing. "Their wars have ended and it's time that they return to their home countries. They were only guests here anyway"....Although the premise of the film is fictional, these nationalistic view are a central trope of the American Republican party today.

A tiny bud and then watched 'HONEY BOY' (Amazon Prime). I had seen this one before, but well worth a second view. To play your own father in a movie must be nice work if you can get it. "Shia LaBeouf was arrested for public intoxication in July of 2017 in Savannah, Georgia. He was ordered to attend a 10 week rehab program, where he discovered that he had PTSD... LaBeouf wrote the script as a part of his rehabilitation"; with Shia LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, FKA twigs, and Natasha Lyonne (voice of Shia's mom. A funny scene where the boy is on the phone with his mother and his father is shouting over him).

330pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles and watched JOE/PAPPAS.

Read 'TALK TALK' in the living room. 

630pm: ON THE TREADMILL and watched 'FBI FILES' ~ LA contract killer takes our 3 people for a Detroit music producer. 

In the tub with TALK TALK and listening to COLEMAN HAWKINS, LOU REED~'New York'.

Watched the final episode of 'ZERO ZERO ZERO' (Amazon Prime). A fine series and I'm sure I'll watch this one again from start to finish. 

Began episode 1 or Season 3 'MR. ROBOT' (Amazon Prime).

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
