Watched 'THE MASTER' (Netflix). A deeply troubled alcoholic WWII vet discovers a charismatic 50's cult leader that expounds a philosophy dealing with past lives that seems to explain the big existential questions of his life, but is he too far gone to be saved...'Deaf, Dumb, and Blind Boy'...Dir. by Paul Thomas Anderson. Forget the awards and the acclaim, this is very much an Art Film, and clearly this wouldn't be a popular choice for most people, but I kinda liked it; with Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Jesse Plemons, Rami Malek, and Laura Dern.  Filmed in Oakland, California and Oahu, Hawaii. Obviously, the film throws a little shade on Scientology. 

***245pm: Gel-pen walk... When I was halfway down the road in Wash. Pk. I was stopped by Joe & Janny on the motorcycle. They pulled into the parking lot and talked for a half hour. She said that eight year old kids in district 186 get a sex education demonstration using a condom and a banana. They're taking our guns! Sharia Law is here! Obama is from Kenya! The Mexican rapists are coming for our jobs! The election was stolen!

Over to Wiggins, Leland, thru the park and Feldcamp, Monroe, Washington, up by McD's and Walgreens, behind 900 Durkin and over to Brewer: $30...Old Jack's, Lynhaven, Parkview and down to 940...APPROX. 2 HOURS... Mp3... THE STONES, BLUE CHEER. 

Reading MOBY'S biography and in the tub with more Moby and listening to MAGNETIC FIELDS, BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE. 

Watched 'SHATTERED MEMORIES' (Netflix). A woman wakes up and next to her is the dead body of her lover, but she can't remember anything of what happened the night before. An interesting premise, but the film ping-pongs back and forth in time and does little but make a confusing film even more muddled. Four sisters have the hots for the same tall guy in a cowboy hat and one sister has a maniacal husband. In the end it's only as entertaining as a very lame soap opera.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
