945am. 525pm. 930pm.
Up 745am: Fog and clouds give way to a partly sunny day with temps to 70.
I wrote up 'MOBY: THEN IT FELL APART' or the blog.
***The second day that Buddy threw up his breakfast, yet he seems upbeat and relatively normal after he vomited.
Watched 'MY COUSIN VINNY' (Amazon Prime- leaves 5/1). A spoof (farce?) on 'The American South' but some of the dialog was very clever, if a little implausible. Roger Ebert didn't care for it, but I liked it; with Joe Pesci, Ralph Macchio, Marisa Tomei, Mitchell Whitfield, and Fred Gwynne. From the Baltimore Sun: "It's hardly brilliant. But it's easygoing and occasionally quite funny and ultimately satisfying." Marisa Tomei won Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the 1993 Academy Awards and the film got another 4 wins & 6 nominations. Filmed near Monticello and Eatonton, Georgia.
***I got a phone call from Tracy and she said she was from Helitech and said that they can do the work on the second or third week of June, 2021. I told her that I hadn't located a contractor to do the drywall work. She had no idea about that; 618-213-8855. If I don't hear from Ryan by tomorrow, Adam said we will deal with another drywaller.
1pm: ON THE TREADMILL...5 Miles at 3.4 pace and watched JOSH ROGIN on J. R. E. ~ China lab responsible for COVID19?
535pm: Walk~ Parkview, Southside of Wash. Pk., panhandle, Northside road and up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 10 MINS... Mp3; '18' - MOBY, 'Some Girls' ~ THE STONES.
In the tub with TEVIS/BRUNNER? and listening to WILLIE NILE, WILSON PICKETT. Decided to read 'THE DREAMING EARTH '~John Brunner.
Watched 'THE CORRUPTED' (Amazon Prime). A decent English Gangster/Police Corruption film about an ex-con who tries to go straight in contemporary East London, but his brother is involved in a massive criminal enterprise that will take them all down. Timothy Spall was great as the arch-villain, gangster bad guy. Nothing related to the film, but an interesting observation: "Age is an issue of mind over matter, and if you don't mind, it doesn't matter".
