930 am. 530 pm. 930 pm.
Up 810 am: Mostly sunny with temps to low 60's.
'Patch Tuesday' doesn't seem to be an issue. I did a check for Updates on the living room PC and I am up to date.
Waiting for 'Above All Lawn Care' and I hope they have tools to put together the new mower. Whatever it takes- "$".
Watched Netflix disc 'THE LAST VERMEER'. The film is somewhat based on the forger, Han van Meegeren. Just after the end of WWII a Dutch plutocrat and painter is on trial for collaboration with the Nazis. His defense was that all of the Vermeer masterpieces that he sold were actually fakes that he painted and doctored to look centuries old. He sold them to the Nazis to cheat them. I guess the ending could mean that the artist was a Nazi sympathizer all along, but this seems to be a bit of fiction. The paintings in the movie looked extremely badly done and didn't even look good enough to be considered forgeries; with Guy Pearce and Claes Bang.
Great to be back in the 'waiting for the contractors' game- nothing from Capitol Home Improvement, Helitech, and 'Above All Lawn Care'.
***I ordered from Amazon Moby's second autobiography, 'THEN IT FELL APART' and more laxatives. Still getting everything for free. I just love them 'bonus points'!
Paid the Visa card. Lawn Mower is pending.
125 pm: ON THE TREADMILL... 5 Miles and watched the next episode of 'THEM' (Amazon Prime) then I finished JOE ROGAN on The Skeptic Tank where Ari played 'Shiny Happy Jihad' and then they discussed the CD.
245 pm: Reading in the living room.
330 pm: Guys from ABOVE ALL got down the hanging tree branch, but didn't have room on the truck to take the old mower. He will come back on Sunday for the old mower and assemble the new one.
535 pm: Wash. Pk., Wiggins, Leland, Walnut, Northside of Wash. Pk., up the hill, Parkview, and down to 940...ONE HOUR AND 25 MINS... 'Carry The Day' ~ HENRY THREADGILL, 'Diamond Dogs' ~ DAVID BOWIE, JOHN HIATT.
In the tub with Harris and listening to EARLY BOWIE, an excellent overview of Bowie's catalog on Amazon Music.
Watched 'OJUKOKORO:GREED' (Netflix). 'A broke manager in a money laundering petrol station, decides to rob the petrol station that employs him but along this journey finds out that there are different kinds of criminals that are also interested in the same cash.' I couldn't get into it, but the film was an attempt to be a 'snapshot' of seedy local Nigerian customs and attitudes. Shot in Ojuelegba- a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria. Characters drinking Gulder Beer and in Nigeria, sorghum is added instead of malt. One of the characters is reading 'Arms and the Man', a comedic play by George Bernard Shaw.
