925am. 12pm- 3 hits. 325pm. 940pm.
Up 750am: Cloudy with intermittent showers expected over the next several days. Today's temps are only in the low 60's.
Paid the cards.
Watched 'FERRY' (Netflix). A boorish thug from Amsterdam is sent by his mob boss to a trailer park to kill three hoods who robbed one of the crew's houses. He falls in love with a caring woman in the holiday park. I was surprised by how good this was and I noticed that there is a TV series dealing with the same characters on Netflix- now it's in the queue.
***Think of a more crude and uncouth Tony Soprano if he operated out of the Netherlands. The film is the story of the Ferry character before he became a major crime figure.
Watched the next episode of 'THIS IS A ROBBERY: THE WORLD'S BIGGEST ART HEIST' (Netflix).
120pm: ON THE TREADMILL... 5 Miles at 3.4 pace and finished 'THIS IS A ROBBERY' and the art is still missing despite a 10 million dollar reward. And then some, 'HOW NEAL FEEL' and some JOEY DIAZ.
Spent fifteen minutes changing the password for Spotify. I hope it will help with the transmission problems.
Then I watched 'TEETH' (Amazon Prime). A strange satire on 'The Purity Culture' and 'Vagina Dentata'. An interesting idea, but the movie wasn't that funny and severed penises don't carry a movie. AN ODD OBSERVATION: The reason a penis is shown in the high school instructional sex manual and a vagina is not is because 'girls are just naturally more modest than boys'. It could be argued that the film is about the birth of a female super-hero because she champions both female sexual desire and sexual consent. Worth a look, but not much more; with Jess Weixler, Josh Pais, Ashley Springer, and Hale Appleman.
Then some of 'MAMA JUNE: FROM NOT TO HOT' (Pluto).
610pm: ON THE TREADMILL...2 Miles at 3.4 pace and finished DAVE CHAPPELLE on J. R. E.
In the tub with 'NOCTURNE' and listening to NICE~ all session and it was... nice...
Watched a ten minute YouTube video of Dr. Carl Hart- 'Debunking Drug Myths'; then DAVID BOWIE: THE STORY OF ZIGGY STARDUST- BBC' (60"). Bowie's first hit was in 1969 and he was trying to be a star for ten years. It kind of reminded me of Charley Pride. Both men would have done anything to be famous- baseball or modern dance, it just doesn't matter 'how' or 'why' or 'with what'.
Then some of a YouTube video 'ICE HOUSE- DEATHSQUAD STUDIOS CHRONICLES' with Joe Rogan, Joey Diaz, Felisha Michales, Christina Pazsitzky, and Sam Tripoli.
