850am. 1135am (3 hits White Widow). 155pm. 10pm.
Up 710am: Mostly sunny with temps to the upper 60's.
Watched 'MUMFORD' (Hoopla). A guy fleeing from his past misrepresents himself as a psychologist and sets up a practice in a small town. Although he's a fake, his almost superhuman powers of empathy allow him to actually help his patients. A great ensemble cast and it felt like watching a novel unfold; with Loren Dean, Hope Davis, Jason Lee, Alfre Woodard, Mary McDonnell, Zooey Deschanel, Martin Short, Jane Adams, Ted Danson, Jason Ritter, and Elisabeth Moss. Directed by Lawrence Kasdan (THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST). Filmed near Sebastopol, CA- about 60 miles northwest of San Francisco, CA.
Watched the first two episodes of 'THIS IS A ROBBERY: THE WORLD'S BIGGEST ART HEIST' (Netflix).
145pm. PC is 'Off' and 2pm on the road for a workout at Planet Fitness. 45" Cross. 45 Treadmill. 30" Recumbent. 30" Cross. ARI SHAFFIR on JOEY DIAS and ANDREW SANTINO and TOM SEGURA.
***Reading in the living room and about 515pm Bob and Carol had their Volvo towed from their driveway.
Soon after a guy from Xfinity /Comcast knocked on the door to tell me that tomorrow and Saturday reps would be in the neighborhood to help customers reduce their cable costs. He came in and looked at my modem and my Xfinity bill app and said $106 a month is about as good as it gets.
In the tub with "NOCTURNE" and listening to JASON ISBELL, AC/DC, ACID HOUSE KINGS, and most of a 'HOW NEAL FEEL'.
Then I watched 'MY FATHER AND THE MAN IN BLACK' (Kanopy). A documentary drama about a man who had a disturbing relationship with his father. Dad commits suicide, doesn't leave a note, but the son gets a storage locker full of artifacts that document his father's amazing career as the manager of Johnny Cash. Saul Holiff might be the person most responsible for the career of Johnny Cash. Cash made a film about Jesus in 1972 that bombed and alienated mainstream audiences for years, yet Holiff backed the film and even played a role. Johnny Cash is the first person to be sued by the federal government for starting a forest fire. Cash wrote a contract that listed all expenses incurred for his son's upbringing and deducted this total from his inheritance. He didn't raise his son as much as he managed him. An interesting film about a difficult Father/Son relationship.
