940am. 2pm. 915pm. 

***Last night when I left downstairs to go to bed, Buddy seemed very lethargic and he wouldn't eat the rest of his dinner. I thought that this was it. However, when I got out of bed at 745am, I heard him call for me. He's moving a bit slowly, but he's engaged and he ate and hasn't vomited (by 830am). 

Up 745am: Mostly sunny with temps to the mid 60's.

Watched 'WANDER' (Amazon Prime). Two podcasting conspiracy freaks become involved in a secret and evil plot that involves implantation experiments on undocumented border crossers, but it all just might be a paranoid delusion. The film is an enjoyable mash-up of a better episode of 'THE X FILES' and a little of the giddy neurotic weirdness of 'The Machinist';  with Aaron Eckhart, Tommy Lee Jones, and Heather Graham. Filmed near Carrizozo, New Mexico and post production done in Ontario, Canada- Homelands of the Pueblo, Navajo, and Apache peoples.

Then I watched an episode of 'ROTTEN-High On Edibles'(Netflix: 60"). In Amsterdam pot has been legal to consume in 'coffee houses' for over 40 years, but the growth and distribution of the plant is still illegal and run by Dutch drug cartels. How odd? Also, in the Netherlands edibles can only be sold as 'space cakes' which are like cupcakes, but cannabis plant material must be visible in the cake material. This makes the product less than tasty. An 'expert' said that it is impossible to retain anything when high. If you listen to a lecture and feel that you took it all in, it was just the 'devil's lettuce' fooling you.

Billions are still spent on criminal prosecution of cannabis even though it is legal in the majority of states. 

***115pm: A young girl knocked on the door and asked if I wanted to be scheduled for a pest inspection. No thanks. I saw her later on Parkview when I was on the walk. 

215pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk. northside, Walnut, Lowell, Outer Park, Wiggins, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...TWO HOURS AND 10 MINS... Mp3... THE BLACK KEYS, NPR/91.9 FM 'Fresh Air'. 

***Home to finish 'DOING THE DOZENS' and I got the bid from KYES RENOVATION and I accepted. All on board for 2nd or 3rd week of June. Texted Adam with the news. 

630pm: In the tub with 'RIVERS OF THE BLACK MOON' and listening to BADBADNOTGOOD, and an AL FRANKEN podcast.

Watched 'SOMEWHERE' (Amazon Prime). An unusual film about a father/daughter relationship. He's a famous Hollywood actor who is sad that he can't spent more time with his thirteen year old daughter, but his life is so easy, wonderful, and luxurious that he just can't change.  Two identical twins from Playboy play the hero's girlfriends. Stephen Dorff, Elle Fanning, and Chris Pontius; Kristina Shannon and Karissa Shannon as 'The Pole Dancing Twins'. And a small, but funny role for Ellie Kemper. Much of the film is shot at the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Blvd. Directed by Sofia Coppola.
