Th 7/1/21-Pickup Chair and Returns it
Th 7/1/21
10am. 440pm. 905pm.
Up 830am: Read a short story by Neil Labute- 'Switzerland' at 630am. Partly sunny with temps to mid 80's. Rain is finally out of the forecast until Wednesday of next week.
11am: Text from Zane that he'd send one of his guys over this afternoon to solve the electrical problem with the front lights. No time was mentioned, but I warned that I might be on the treadmill.
***1140am: Some old guy in a red camper truck picked up the chair. I wish he had taken the hose as well. And in ten minutes he brought it back! This was after I told Habitat that a 'picker' had got the chair. The clerk said that they mark what they pickup when the truck arrives.
***1245pm: Habitat picked up both items and I hope they won't be bringing them back.
I watched 'SECURITY' (Netflix). An Italian melodrama that's set in the winter at a beach-town resort on the coast of Tuscany. The location was the best part because the story was silly. A security firm has cameras on the exterior and interior of the whole town and an assault and rape of a young girl is caught on tape and an evil millionaire is the culprit. And there's also an old drunk who was accused of child molestation years ago, but his victim remembers that he was only taking a piss. Her family had forced her to 'misremember' the details.
110pm: On the treadmill... 5 MILES AT 3.4 PACE... Watched ARI SHAFFIR talk about Depression, the next episode of 'MANHUNT: Deadly Games' (Netflix), and then more of CASEY AFFLECK on WTF. Mark Zuckerberg attended his elementary school and Matt Damon was three or four years ahead of him at the same school.
***While on the treadmill I got a text from Zane that 'Tony' would be there to fix the problem. No time of arrival. Tony arrived at 3pm and the problem was solved by 315pm.
445pm: Wash. Pk., southside, panhandle, northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...1 HOUR AND 35 MINS (Sucking The 70's, 'Rid of Me').
In the tub to begin 'THE FINDER' and listening to BRUNO MARS, 'Adore' ~ SMASHING PUMPKINS, ALBERT HAMMOND JR, CHICKENFOOT.
***41.7 Mbps on the smartphone at 8pm. Amazon Music kicking out, YouTube music fine. 103.7 Mbps on the downstairs PC, but several readings from 43 Mbps or less- seems erratic.
Watched 'RADIOACTIVE' (Amazon Prime). This has been in the queue for a long time and it caught my eye because it starred Rosamund Pike... "After Five Minutes I Changed The Channel": Not that it was bad, but Not In The Mood... Too High And Required Some Simple-Minded Cowboy Drama....so....THE LONG RIDERS (Netflix). Fantastic gunfights on horses...Horsemen firing weapons jump through a plate glass storefront window (Maybe my favorite Action Scene of All Time). ; Directed by Walter Hill (1980) with David Carradine Stacy Keach, Dennis Quaid, Keith Carradine, Robert Carradine, James Keach, and Randy Quaid..."Goddamn squareheads".
