Up 710am: Cloudy with rain moving in this afternoon-humid, low 80's. Just a few light showers when the day ended, but on Monday the heat wave begins and the daily highs will be in the low 90's through Friday. 

I watched the Netflix disc 'COLD CASE HAMMARSKJOLD'. At the end of the film it's not clear if the Secretary General of the UN was actually assassinated in September of 1961, but it sure looks fishy. Was the 'South African Institute For Maritime Research'(SAIMR) a complete fabrication or was it a five thousand man clandestine army dedicated to white rule for all of the African continent? Keith Maxwell, the founder of SAIMR reminds me a lot of Ron L. Hubbard the creator of Scientology. The film also reveals a conspiracy theory involving the spread of HIV using clinics in black townships in South Africa run by Maxwell. Health experts have said that "...spreading the HIV virus would not have been technically feasible at the time." I wonder why not? 

1215pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing to make a short walk to the Walgreens PO box to mail back the disc: 1225pm-1pm.

150pm: On the treadmill...5 MILES AT 3.5 PACE...'COLD CASE FILES ' (AMAZON PRIME) - 1989, Michigan:  A young girl is raped and murdered by two brothers. 25 years later the truth is revealed, but how were they able to pass the lie detector test during their initial interviews? Began TIM DILLON on ARI SHAFFIR'S 'Skeptic Tank'.

4pm: I began 'TOMBSTONE' (Amazon Prime- leaving 8/31). Around 6pm I finished watching 'TOMBSTONE' on the treadmill...2 MILES AT 3.5 PACE...'TOMBSTONE '- 10 mins left.

7pm: In the tub with PERCY and listening to ERIC JOHNSON & MIKE STERN, JACO PASTORIOUS.

I watched  'THE HOWLIN' WOLF STORY' (Amazon Prime).  Chester Arthur Burnett aka Howlin' Wolf, the 'baddest' man in Rock'n'Blues owns a tidy suburban bungalow on Chicago's westside, yet his mom refuses to acknowledge him because he 'plays the devil's music'.  Best Take-Away: The live music at the tiny Chicago taverns where they played in the early days and some random footage shot by Sam Lay....And, the Stones with Howlin' Wolf on Shindig.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
