 Tu 8/24/21

955am. 115pm. 905pm.

I opened the windows but they'll be closed soon because a Heat Advisory is in place beginning at 1pm this afternoon. Plenty of sun with temps in the low 90's and Discomfort Index in the triple digits.

***When I got on the PC I immediately scheduled an appointment with Xfinity. There was only one left, at 530pm today.

Watched 'SWEET GIRL' (Netflix). The premise seems reasonable enough. A man and his daughter go after a crooked Big Pharma exec because the corporation stopped offering a cheap and effective treatment for cancer.  Mom didn't have to die, but at the 45 minute mark we learn that Dad has been killed and his daughter is hallucinating that she is him. Total wackiness, yet the kill count is quite impressive. I know that with Jason Momoa you're not going to get 'Shakespeare In The Park', but you should at least expect some believability.... with Jason Momoa, Isabela Merced and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. Filmed in and around Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Decided to begin 'INHUMAN RESOURCES' (Netflix) when I hit Planet Fitness. 'HIT & RUN' (Netflix) looks good too, but will begin with the former. A foreign series is too difficult because it's hard to read the subtitles, so I switched to 'CHANGELAND'.

***Ordered more incense from Amazon Prime.

CHARLIE WATTS DIED!

140pm: PC is 'Off' and getting ready to workout and solve the phone charging problem at 530pm.

325pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30" Cross.  Watched 'CHANGELAND' (NETFLIX).  A truly odd look at Friendship and Lovelife. Two friends travel to Thailand after one of them learns that his wife has been cheating.  Basically, a travelogue for Thailand (Toyland?). Dull plot, vivid scenes. Then I watched 'Breaking Points':  Trump vs. American Values- CNN attempts to scare the Boomers and FOX does the same with Race & Gender. Then I began an ARI SHAFFIR podcast.

450pm to Xfinity and what I learned: Turn off apps, turn off Bluetooth, run battery to zero, then full charge. However, this only helps battery use and doesn't address the 'slow charge'.
What I read online is more to the issue: ***Put phone in airplane mode
***Turn off the phone.
I'm going to run the phone as close as I can to zero, and then see if these tips make a difference. If not, I'll go to the battery store and see if they have better tips than the Xfinity people.

630pm: In the tub with TURTLEDOVE and listening to BOWIE.

Watched a twelve minute video (GETTING WAY TOO HIGH) about a kid talking about the time he got 'way too high'.

Watched 'UNTOLD- CAITLYN JENNER' (Amazon Prime). Most of the hour and ten minutes was about his 1976 Olympic win in the decathlon and all he went through to get there. He comes off as a focused and driven person. Jenner was born in October of 1949. With regard to 'Bruce vs. Caitlyn': "...No. I give him credit because he did that (winning the medals). But, is that all of me, or my whole story...not even close".
