9am. 1245pm. 915pm.
Up 730am: Mostly sunny with temps to about 90.
I wrote up 'MIDNIGHT' by Dean Koontz for the blog.
Watched 'PALE RIDER' (Tubi). A mysterious stranger defends a mining camp against a corrupt land baron and his crew. Eastwood just about invented the genre and nobody does it better; with Clint Eastwood, Michael Moriarty, Carrie Snodgress, Chris Penn, and John Russell. The beautiful location was one of the best elements of the movie and it was filmed at the Sawtooth National Recreation Area in central Idaho.
***I noticed a post on Nextdoor concerning...."Like minded patriots in Southern View who want to do something about... the bla-fucking-bla..."
1220pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an early walk.
1255pm: Oakmont, Country Club, Laurel, Outer Park, Lowell, Walnut, Wash. Pk., up the hill, Fairway, and up to 940... 2 HOURS...Mp3...'Squirrel Bait ', 'Spike', 'Spooky Two'.
Read MCCARTHY on the couch.
Read MCCARTHY on the couch.
***Downloaded a major Samsung update for the phone...473 individual issues, but went OK and took about 5 mins.
550pm: On the treadmill...2 MILES AT 3.6 PACE and more of TOM SEGURA on J.R.E.
In the tub with 'NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN ' and listening to OTIS RUSH, ALLEN TOUSSAINT, LESLIE WEST, and finished reading the McCarthy novel.
Began disc 3 of 'JOHN ADAMS' (Netflix). It reminds you how much 'time' played in the unfolding events during the early years of the American nation. Crucial government dispatches from Europe would take weeks to reach America and any correspondence within the states would take days. I guess it would provide more time to avoid rash policy actions, but nearly impossible to stop bad actions that have been implemented.
