Up 8am: Misty early and cloudy with temps only to the upper 60's.

***PC made a strange 'grinding' sound when I booted up. When I did a 'restart', no change, but when I 'powered off' and restarted, it stopped and everything was Okey Doke with extra cheese.

I wrote up 'PERSONAL FREEDOM' by Arthur Deikman for the blog.

Watched 'THE STRONGHOLD' (Netflix). Three detectives employ questionable tactics to take out a drug network operating in a Marseilles housing project. The gang runs the complex and even the cops do not enter uninvited. But, you can't break the law to enforce the law; with Gilles Lellouche, Francois Civil, Karim Leklouy, and Adele Exarchopoulos.

Watched episode #1 of 'SQUID GAME' (Netflix). A Korean take on "The Hunger Games" series. I didn't realize this three volume series by Suzanne Collins is one of the most 'banned' in schools and libraries...10,000 Korean Won is about $8.50. 

145pm: PC is 'Off' and will hit the treadmill. 
150pm: 5 MILES AT 3.6 PACE,  watched another episode of 'SQUID GAMES ' (NETFLIX), and more of ARI SHAFFIR'S interview with a 9/11 first responder. 

Rend 'RAIN DOGS ' on the couch. 

555pm: 2 MILES AT 3.6 PACE and more of ARI'S conversation with the first responder- riveting! 

655pm: In the tub with 'RAIN DOGS 'and listening to SCREAMING TREES- SST Years, and a BEATLES Anthology, and a couple of BREAKING POINTS: kRYSTAL AND SAAGAR.

Began 'IF I LEAVE HERE TOMORROW: A Film About Lynyrd Skynyrd (Netflix). An excellent profile of one of the greatest Southern American bands. The songs and solos were all written and played exactly as they had been written and practiced at the 'Swamp House'. Ed King was from The Strawberry Alarm Clock...The drummer had a longer explanation of the origin of the band's name than just a high school gym teacher's name. Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda: "You remember Leonard Skinner, He got ptomaine poisoning last night after dinner".

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
