***I lost the 'date/day' on this idiotic Casio, but I got it back and I still don't know how.
Got the money together ($163) for the pot shop and on the road to the store at 9am. The total was $150 even for 2 eighths. Out in front of Ascend there were more homeless than patrons and the security force outnumbered us all.
Watched 'SEW THE WINTER TO MY SKIN' (Crackle). Based on the story of John Kepe who was a black man in rural South Africa during the 1950's who robbed livestock from Afrikaner's farms and shared his plunder with the black poor. It's essentially a 'silent' film although there is dialogue, great pains are made to tell the story visually. The film was directed by Jahmil X.T. Qubeka and his love of jazz and indigenous music is quite evident. This format is a bit restrictive, but if you apply the effort, the reward is worth it. It was selected as the South African entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards, but was ultimately not nominated.
I watched a couple of YouTube videos about the film.
2pm: PC is 'Off' and I'll read for a while and then do the Weekly Cleaning. Then to Planet Fitness for the workout.
315pm: Planet Fitness. 45" Treadmill. 45" Cross. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30"Cross. Part of episode # of 'DOGS OF BERLIN ' (NETFLIX). I wasn't interested. Then an episode of 'DETECTIVES : My Killer Case ' (Amazon Prime). In southeast England two half brothers scheme to torture and decapitate another brother. Then, '2 Bears, 1 Cave', and I began a 'Skeptic Tank ' with ARI and JOEY DIAZ from 2012.
715pm: In the tub with KELLERMAN and listening to THE EELS, 'The Beautiful Old'- various artists, JUICY J, and various podcasts.
Began 'ONE OF US' (Netflix). A deep dive into the lives of a few people who tried to separate from the Hasidic community of Brooklyn, NY. Courts rule that the children be treated exactly as they were during the marriage. So if they were exposed to eight hours a day of religious indoctrination, then this should continue. People who try to leave the community are told that you can never leave. You will either end up in jail, hooked on drugs, or come crawling back.
