Up 715am: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for rain this afternoon and temps to the mid 50's.

I wrote up 'PROPHET OF DEATH' by Pete Early for the blog.

***I reported on IMDB because the ad for some fucking Disney movie (HAWKEYE) wouldn't allow you to get any information from the website. Downdetector.com also noted problems. I hope they fix it. It was working again when I checked at 110pm. 

***1030am: Got 'the' call from Dr. Maurer's office. "Takes only a minute"..." More of a feeling that 'something doesn't belong there' than pain"..."Bladder wall is so thick that the scan can't penetrate to see, so they must go in with a camera"..."Could be a lesion on the bladder or possibly cancer"...I will get the results on this visit.

Then gave the bong a much needed 'non-gumming' treatment..."Putting out the fires with gasoline"...  

Watched 'THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT' (Hoopla).  For eight years a woman wondered about her life 'before'. When her face appears on TV she is recognized and eventually learns that she was an ex-government secret assassin. Silly thrills and some interesting dialog, and it also could be considered a Christmas movie; with Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, Brian Cox, and David Morse.  "You're gonna die screaming and I'm gonna watch. Am I telling the truth?" Set in New England, Pennsylvania, and Atlantic City, yet most of it was filmed in Toronto, Ontario.

125pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk.

 155pm:  Parkview, Country Club, Laurel, Outer Park, Lincoln, Leland, Walnut,  Wash. Pk. northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...Mp3...DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS,  NPR- 91.9 FM...TWO HOURS.

***Hung the Xmas wreath and 'Merry Christmas' signage on the lampshade. 

Reading on the couch and looking for something new to start. 

520pm: 2 MILES AT 3.6 PACE AND 0.50 SLANT and finished a SKEPTIC TANK and more of BLAIRE WHITE on J.R.E.

615pm:  In the tub to begin 'THE BLUE AFTERNOON ' by William Boyd and listening to THE STONE COYOTES'; THE PRETENDERS.

Downstairs PC is acting screwy. It involves the goddamned Windows Updates.

Watched part of an ARI  SHAFFIR and JOE LIST conversation about music.
***I restarted and things are okey-dokey, but it says that an update is needed. I'm going to let it run all night. 

Then I watched the next episode of 'REASONABLE DOUBT: A Tale of Two Kidnappings' (Netflix). The Mexican criminal justice system 'solves' crimes by convicting innocent people. This makes their numbers look good, so they continue to incarcerate anyone that they can frame.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
