When I put the Blue Can on the street I noticed that I got a Netflix disc yesterday.

Watched Netflix disc 'PIG'. VARIETY'S review sums it up: "As a descent into the apparently high-stakes world of truffle-pig-poaching, Pig is unexpectedly touching; as a showcase for Cage’s brilliance, it’s a revelation."  'Old Yeller' it was not.  The Bonus Features show Nicholas Cage (with a master chef) learning to make the culinary dishes that were featured in the film.

Finished 'CATCH-22' (Amazon Prime). The film got a '70 Metascore' and that's about what I felt. "It's a flawed film, hampered by weird tonal shifts and an overpopulated cast"..."Catch-22 limps along from vignette to vignette, one sees that what it lacks is cohesion, style and essential mood"..."The director of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Graduate is more at home with minute personal tensions than with the epic hysteria this project required, so file the film under botched masterpieces."

145pm: PC is 'Off' and will head to Brewster for another gel-pen and then on to Planet Fitness. 
220pm: Left 940 and by 235pm: On the machines...45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30" Cross and more of MARK NORMAND on THEO VON, and an episode of 'WWII IN COLOR (NETFLIX)- Dunkirk, a couple of 'BREAKING POINTS ', and began EMMA WILLMANN on SKEPTIC TANK. 
To the gas station across the street for a $20 case of Bud Light. 
620pm: In the tub with CHESTER HIMES and listening to MILES DAVIS- 'Dig'; BEST OF 'The Kinks'. 
Watched 'THE SUNSHINE MAKERS' (Amazon Prime). A bio of Tim Scully, Nick Sand, and Owsley Stanley- the chemists who manufactured 'Orange Sunshine' LSD in the mid 60's. There was quite a lot of money involved, but I believe that they really wanted to 'turn on the world' and give mankind a shortcut to inner peace and harmony. LSD was the catalyst. After the LSD ring was broken up, Owsley Stanley went on to develop the Grateful Dead's sound system.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
