Watched 'EDGE OF DARKNESS' (Kanopy). A dull drama about a Boston detective whose daughter is a nuclear engineer at a government facility that is illegally making atomic weapons. When she attempts to expose the operation she is murdered (shotgunned to death on their front porch)  and her father goes into full-on revenge mode. Robert De Niro was offered the lead role but bailed after a few days and that makes more sense than the movie; with Mel Gibson, Ray Winstone, and Danny Huston.

Watched 'MY BROOKLYN' (Kanopy). Gentrification Explained: Rich developers collude with city planners to decide who wins and who loses. 'Redlining' determined which neighborhoods would remain the same and which would change. Bed-Stuy was only 5% black but it was deemed 'high risk', so blacks and whites in the area were denied loans. Suburban developers spread fear of plummeting housing prices and banks offered loans only to whites.  A textbook case of how whites as well as whites are negatively impacted by racist policy decisions.

555pm: In the tub with 'GONE FOR GOOD'  and listening to 'Birth of The Cool'- MILES DAVIS; DICK HECKSTALL SMITH. 

I watched an episode and a half of 'NEWTON'S CRADLE' (Netflix).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
