830am. 1250pm. 6pm (1 hit/1 hitter). 730pm.
Up 640am: Bright, sunny, breezy with temps to about 50. Tomorrow almost 60!
***715am-745am- I did the Weekly Cleaning early today.
Watched 'WHITE RABBIT' (Tubi). A troubled high school student is bullied by the kids at school and nearly all of the adults in his life and, of course, he's the natural choice for a school shooter. Some good performances, but I agree with this "...neutralize the politics of a mass killing and focus more on the psychic stress that triggered it. But even if that was the case, it doesn’t make the film any less crushingly banal"; with Nick Kraus (THE DESCENDANTS).
Watched more of 'HIT & RUN' (Netflix).
And then began another episode of 'INVENTING ANNA' (Netflix). One of the guests at the exclusive downtown hotel demanded that the concierge secure a reservation to a park because they didn't want to wait, "Ma'am, it's a public park, you just show up and walk".
1235pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Planet Fitness.
1pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30" Cross and much more of 'INVENTING ANNA' (Netflix). Through episode 7 and only 2 left.
6pm: In the tub and skimmed to the end of 'HOW TO DO NOTHING' and listening to THE SUGARMAN 3- 'Sugar's Boogaloo'; STURGILL SIMPSON.
Watched 'I CALLED HIM MORGAN' (Netflix). Helen Morgan shot and killed Lee Morgan on a snowy NYC night on February 19, 1972 at Slug's Saloon- almost exactly fifty years ago today. The documentary is based around a taped interview with Helen years after she had served a short time in prison and was released on parole. Lots of excellent black and white video of Lee and fellow musicians and I didn't realize that Lee Morgan and Wayne Shorter were featured artists in The Art Blakey Band.
Watched thirty minutes more of the Whitney Cummings interview with Tim Dillon on 'GOOD FOR YOU'.
