820am. 1040am (a pinch). 1215pm (a pinch). 740pm.
Up 630am: Bright and sunny with temps to lower 40's.
***Did the Weekly Cleaning early.
Watched 'REPOSSESSION' (Hoopla). An intelligent genre-bending film about a man who loses his job and his mind soon follows. He and his wife and daughter live in an expensive Singapore high rise and the guilt and shame of not being able to provide for his family becomes too much for dad. The 'evil' might be a real trip into an alternative reality or a manifestation of his inner demons and the film can be interpreted either way. I really liked it.
Then I watched fifty minutes into the second installment (dropped last week) of 'JEEN-YUHS: A Kanye Trilogy' (Netflix). I'm still not convinced about his music but there is no doubt that he is a bright and clever individual. How'd he get mixed up with the Kardashians?
1200pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness.
1230pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30" Cross, finished 'JEEN-YUHS', finished 'HALSTON', finished J.R.E,, and more 'Good For You'.
Up the hill to Dollar General; 4 cans of Friskies (No Pate!) and a big bottle of baby oil- $8.00.
455pm: In the tub with COURTNEY LOVE and listening to LIVE LITTLE FEAT; HOLE- 'Celebrity Skin' and 'Live Through This'.
Watched 'SORRY WE MISSED YOU' (Kanopy). A British 'Kitchen Sink Drama' that deftly exposes the dark underbelly of 21st century capitalism. Mom's an elderly care worker, dad's a driver for a delivery service, the kids are acting out and the whole family is on an unrelenting and unforgiving treadmill to nowhere. The film is a cinematic plea to stop the exploitation of labor. "Whatever happened to the eight hour day"? Directed by Ken Loach.
*** "Dyslexic insomniac"- Up all night wondering if there is a dog.
