815am. 115pm (a pinch). 730pm.
Up 7am: Mostly sunny, breezy, and much warmer with temps to mid 50's.
Ground some more weed and watched Netflix disc 'THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND'. The funniest movie that I've seen in ages. Lots of improvisational comedy...I think. Name of a tattoo shop/ restaurant- "Ruby Tattoo's Day". "Firemen shouldn't have kids"- the speech at the minor league baseball game...."Davidson is a triumph in The King of Staten Island, delivering plenty of fun R-rated humor in an emotionally compelling story about growing up." ; with Pete Davidson, Bel Powley, Marisa Tomei, Maude Apatow, Kevin Corrigan, Bill Burr, and Steve Buscemi. 3 wins & 24 nominations. I didn't realize it until after the film, but Pete Davidson is from Staten Island and his father was a fireman who died on 9/11. Directed by Judd Apatow.
I finished 'DR. SLEEP' (Netflix disc). What a strange reimagining of 'THE SHINING'. The hotel is not even referenced until the last half hour of the film. There was nothing about the vampire-like creatures who required 'steam' in the Kubrick/King collaboration. 'DR. SLEEP' wasn't really bad, just disappointing.
1230pm: PC is 'Off' and will do the Weekly Cleaning and then to Planet Fitness for the workout.
130pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30"Cross. Too high, so Live ALLMAN BROTHERS for 45", then episode #1 of 'WORST ROOMMATE EVER' (NETFLIX) - She opened her house to the elderly, killed and buried, then takes their social security checks, and then #2 of 'WORST...' (NETFLIX) - man kills his female roommate, but he was such a quiet guy, and more RALPHIE MAY on JOEY'S JOINT.
520pm: In the tub with 'PEN 33' and listening to 'Live- DELANEY & BONNIE & FRIENDS'.
Watched 'PEARL' (Amazon Prime). Her mom is shotgunned to death by her step-father and then he turns the rifle on himself. Later she learns that her real father is a washed up and lonely film director and she goes from a luxurious home in Beverly Hills to live with 'real' dad in a home in an older area of Hollywood. They form a bond that's almost too silly to be believed; with Anthony LaPaglia, Sarah Carter, Larsen Thompson, Barbara Williams, and Bruce Davison..
Patti Scialfa Springsteen contributed several songs to the music of the film.
