Mo 4/4/22- Buddy Strange?
Mo 4/4/22
825am. 1110am (1 hit/1 hitter). 1230pm (1 hit/1 hitter). 725pm.
Up 7am: Partly sunny, breezy with temps to about 60. The clock on the living room PC was one hour ahead...for some reason and I reset with no problem, but why?
Watched 'QUANTUM OF SOLACE' (Netflix). It's a solid 'action/adventure' film with just enough of a storyline to string together a striking collection of gun fights, car chases, and general acrobatics; with Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Judy Dench, and Jeffrey Wright. Opening credits: 'ANOTHER WAY TO DIE'- performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys.
Then I watched 'CATCHING KILLERS- Thrill Kills: The Phoenix Serial Shooter' (Netflix). A couple of dummies driving around with a shotgun. Filmed on the streets of Phoenix and it brought back memories.
***Buddy seems a little off today. Lethargic and eating much slower.
Wrote Chat Wrap; suggested next Saturday after 1pm.
1235pm: Parkview, Wash.Pk southside, Vine, South Grand alley, 2nd north to the Capitol building, Governor, Lawrence, Fairway and up to 940...TWO HOURS...Mp3...'Lodger'- BOWIE; CLAPTON/WINWOOD Live.
Reading TOM ROBBINS.
430pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and watched more of GAVIN DE BECKER on J.R.E.
510pm: In the tub with 'HALF ASLEEP IN FROG PAJAMAS' and listening to THE NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS; 'Down In Texas, 1971'- THE ALLMAN BROTHERS.
JEFF ROSS on 'Breaking Bread'- "He's such a dick that when he took Viagra he got taller".
Watched 'BROKEN POET' (Hoopla). Rock star Jake Lion fakes his own death to escape 'the business of music'. He stays anonymous and busks in the Paris metro for tips and claims to be Jake's older brother. The film is a kind of salute to the music of Elliott Murphy (Murphy plays Jack Lion), yet the film is barely to the level of a student film. It's based on a short story written by Elliott Murphy, 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight'.
