Tu 4/5/22- Green on Dirksen: 130pm/ Buddy Better
Tu 4/5/22- Green on Dirksen:130pm.
825am. 1110am (1 hit/1 hitter). 1pm (1 hit/1 hitter). 230pm (1 hit/ 1 hitter).
Up 640am: Cloudy and rainy through Wednesday morning with temps to low 60's.
***Buddy seemed strange all day yesterday. Today I opened a can of '9 LIVES' and he wolfed it down. He threw up a small amount of clear liquid early this morning, but maybe he just didn't like the 'MARINER'S CHOICE'- Friskies that he was eating yesterday.
Watched 'THE IMITATION GAME' (Netflix). Alan Turing and his crew of 'crossword puzzle enthusiasts' (Project Ultra) crack the Enigma Code, but no one must know. This information must be kept absolutely secret because if the Germans learned of the Allied success they would change the code. Project Ultra now must figure out exactly how much to use the knowledge without allowing the Germans to realize that they can read all communications. An interesting moral dilemma; with Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, and Mark Strong. The British government kept this incident a secret for fifty years and in the early days of computer science machines that computed were known as 'Turing Machines'.
1055am: PC is 'Off' and on the treadmill for five miles before the software update at Green on Dirksen.
1115am: FIVE MILES AT 3.6 to 4.0 forgot to increase PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and more of GAVIN DE BECKER on J.R.E.
110pm: To Green on Dirksen
130pm-2pm! 30 minutes. How often do you go to a dealership and your car is done an hour and a half early? I was hardly down from the hit I took before leaving 940. I was reading a novel on Kindle by two Swedish authors, one is a journalist and the other is an ex-con. I recently bought this in hardback and didn't realize I had it on Kindle. I'll give the book to Janny when I stop by on Friday afternoon.
230pm: Reading 'HALF ASLEEP WITH FROG PAJAMAS'.
350pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and finished GAVIN DE BECKER on J.R.E and more of ALI SADDIG on 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING'
445pm: In the tub with TOM ROBBINS and listening to WET WILLIE.
Watched 'YONKERS JOE' (Amazon Prime). A crooked gambler is forced to take custody of his 20 year old son with Downs Syndrome and family drama clashes with criminal enterprise. Lots of action around shaved dice and slight of hand yet the adults in the story are basically without morals so it's hard to accept their tender feelings toward the special needs character, however it's still a solid 'B-Movie' and Christine Lahti was great; with Chazz Palminteri, Michael Lerner, and Christine Lahti.
