Sa 5/7/22- FOUL BOWELS!
Sa 5/7/22- Foul Bowels
1140am (2). 3pm (1). 720pm (1). 830pm (1).
Up 550am: Sunny with temps to about 70.
***Nearly four hours with a painful bowel movement. Very similar to the incident after one (the first?) of the colonoscopies when I was still in the condo. I ate normally the night of the colonoscopy and the next morning I had to shit but felt blocked with concrete and I had to expel broken glass. On Thursday I didn't take a laxative but I did yesterday. Another example of anxiety about getting to emergency care or should I call an ambulance. I finally voided at 1045am. It has been an exhausting morning and I am entirely drained.
Watched 'SILVERTON SIEGE' (Netflix). Three South African Black 'Freedom Fighters' (Terrorists?) are nearly stopped while attempting to blow up an oil pipeline and flee into a bank. There they get the idea to 'Free Nelson Mandela' in exchange for the release of the hostages. Even though this is based on an actual event, the film seems less than compelling. Filmed in Pretoria, South Africa.
Watched the first episode of 'JOHNNY HALLYDAY: Beyond Rock' (Netflix). His early career is a note for note copy of Elvis Presley. I think the reason Hallyday never achieved serious worldwide attention is that he continued to sing in French. Gene Simmons once said that 'X-Japan' could have been the biggest band in the world if they had written lyrics in English instead of Japanese. English is the universal language of Rock'n'Roll, not at all fair, but I think it's true.
240pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk to Wash. Pk. I'm still completely wiped out from this morning's 4 hour ordeal. It's going to be a very easy day.
305pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk. southside, Wiggins, Outer Park , Lincoln, Leland, Walnut, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...2 HOURS...Mp3....'Astral Weeks'- VAN; 'Beyond Description'- DEAD.
***Today must be Prom Night because the park was filled with kids in gowns and tuxedos. I wonder where they will be in fifty years?
520pm: In the tub with 'AMERICAN BOY' and listening to PARLIAMENT; RUFUS with CHAKA KHAN.
Watched 'THE LAST TIME' (Amazon Prime). A ruthless salesman gets conned by a rookie sales agent and his wife. The couple are working for a rival company and undermine the entire sales staff, and when sales drop, their company purchases the failing company for a song. The hardhearted salesman falls in love with the wife (that was part of the con), but when she breaks his heart, he realizes that the cold hard world of sales is not for him and he goes back to teaching literature at the college level. Not a bad film, but not that remarkable; with Brendan Fraser, Amber Valletta, Michael Keaton, Daniel Stern, and Michael Lerner.
