Su 5/22/22- Bowels Back!

 Su 5/22/22

750am (2). 1015am (1). 1225pm. 710 (1).

Up 610am: Partly sunny, breezy with temps to lower 60's.

***The first bowel movement that is 'pre-May 7th' normal. Loose stool but it works for me. Definitely a subject that I'll take up with the next nurse/doctor I see.

Watched 'ASTRAL CITY: A Spiritual Journey' (Hoopla). From a website called 'IDEAPOD' in the article 'The top 10 teachings of Brazilian spiritual leader Chico Xavier'. This section describes the movie.

"...tells the story of a doctor called André Luíz who dies of cancer and goes to a kind of hell for eight years. He is there because he was selfish in life and only lived for enjoying the moment and physical things.

Surrounded by suffering and alienation, he cries out in horror to God to have mercy.

Luíz is brought up to a spiritual colony above Rio de Janeiro in the spiritual realms called Nosso Lar, where everyone helps each other and the system functions smoothly for everyone’s benefit.

Here, Luíz begins to get out of his head and analyze and stop living as much for himself. He begins to really care about others.

“He is advised to restrain his natural intellectual curiosity so that his newfound empathy can flourish.

“In other words, he is taught to think less and feel more.

“By the end of the book, weeping tears of joy, he has become a full-fledged citizen of Nosso Lar.”

A great concept for a film but the execution was a bit weak yet a solid '10' for the attempt. The premise of the film reminded me of the spiritual concepts of  Edgar Cayce.

Watched an hour-long documentary called 'REFUGE OF LAST RESORT' (Amazon Prime). A diatribe against the government's response to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, August of 2005. I would have liked to have seen what they felt should have been done. An interviewee talks of a local Walmart that was entered by the police and fire department. They took what they needed, opened the store to some civilians, and then later claimed that rioters had broken into the store and police and fire were only protecting private property. Fun Fact: The entire city of New Orleans is 20 feet below sea level and surrounded by water. Well worth a look and I wonder if FEMA has learned from this disaster or are things as they were.

1135am: Preparing for the Weekly Cleaning and then an afternoon at Esporta.

1235pm:  To ESPORTA. 45" Cross no arms.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill. 30"Cross and finished 'BOSCH: Legacy (Amazon Prime) and more of 'WILL BE WILD' podcast.

To Schnucks for 30pk Busch, two 4pks Friskies, and a cabbage.

Slashed clover on the front lawn to put off mowing until later in the week.

450pm:  In the tub with BALDACCI and listening to FREE; 'Electric Warrior'- T REX.

Watched 'ABDUCTED IN PLAIN SIGHT' (Netflix). A child predator targets a family to get close to their twelve year old daughter. He has an affair with mom and commits homosexual acts with dad so that they can't question his relationship with their young daughter. It's hard to believe that the parents would put up with any of this but once they tell the tale you can begin to understand how it happened. I think that when a clever psychopath sets his sights on you, game over.
