Up 6am: Partly sunny and the heat wave has arrived! Temps to the low 90's through Friday and this is early May.

I answered an email from Janny about the photo that Joe sent yesterday. They were at Cracker Barrel sitting on the front porch and Melissa snapped the shot.

Watched 'HYENA ROAD' (Netflix).  The tale of a Canadian sniper unit in the Afghan war. A mediocre war film that rates (at best) a 'C'. I didn't recognize a single actor and the film was shot in Shilo, Manitoba, Canada and Jordan... "You may have the clocks, but we've got the time".

***935am: The grass whip arrived! It hasn't even been 24 hours. 

1010am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to mow the lawn and then go for a long walk.

1030am-1115am: Mowed, trimmed, and swept.

1pm: Wash.Pk; Parkview,  Wash.Pk southside, MacArthur, northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR...WILCO; TEDESCHI TRUCKS.

While I was reading, the guy next door walked up to the front porch to deliver the laxative that I ordered from Amazon and delivered to his house in error. I opened the door and he was back to his house and I thanked him. We're OK, I think. 

4pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT, finished DOUG STANHOPE on J.R.E and began TONY HINCHCLIFFE on J.R.E. 

 450pm: In the tub with 'ZERO DAY' and listening to ORNETTE COLEMAN. 

Watched 'MAD TO BE NORMAL' (Amazon Prime). A look into the life of R.D. Laing, the Scottish psychiatrist who believed that the mentally ill do not need drugs or therapy but should be left alone and sooner or later they will naturally heal. The staff and the clients all lived in a house in East London and the whole project folded after five years (1965-1970). I'm going to read more about R.D. Laing. The Scottish Timothy Leary?

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
