Up 6am: Rain last night and a few more showers that ended this morning. Highs to the upper 70's.

Began 'LINCOLN' (Amazon Prime). Abraham Lincoln's fight to pass The 13th Amendment in the midst of a divided congress and a divided nation. It's almost heartening to learn that extreme political polarization and zero sum game is not just a modern phenomenon; with Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook, Tommy Lee Jones, John Hawkes, Tim Blake Nelson, and Jeremy Strong. Won 2 Oscars; 107 wins & 252 nominations-'86 Metascore'.

Later in the morning I took another hard dump after eating oatmeal. I will put off taking a laxative for another day and see if things will soften up on their own. The plan is to hit Planet Fitness and then buy flowers, salt, and a couple of yard lights. Along the front walk there is one missing and one doesn't work.

I added Nirvana, Prong, Fugazi, and Bad Religion to the Mp3.

1135am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for the workout

1210pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross.  45"Treadmill. 30"Bike.  30"Treadmill.  30" Cross and watched all of 'MILES DAVIS: The Birth of The Cool (Amazon Prime) an engaging and comprehensive biography of Miles Davis,  and completed a JOEY'S JOINT. 

To County Market for pansies, salt, and 3 dollar garden lights at Family Dollar. Planted the flowers in the ceramic pot under the bedroom windows.

450pm: In the tub with BALDACCI and listening to ROBERT FRIPP; THE BLACK KEYS.

Watched 'RAMBO: Last Blood' (Netflix). A young girl ventures into a bad part of Mexico to reunite with her biological father. He wants nothing to do with her, and while checking out the local scene she's kidnapped and sold into white slavery.  And John Rambo goes south of the border to get her back and even the score. Ridiculous to the point of absurdity or vice versa.  The last ten minutes is devoted to a montage of all five RAMBO films in the franchise.

Then I watched the last twenty minutes of the final episode of 'THE LINCOLN LAWYER' (Netflix). It looks like there will be another season if the last scene is any indication.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
