Up 530am: Occasional rain to continue through this afternoon with temps to the low 70's. Once again the weather report was mostly in error. I was able to mow the lawn and it never rained. 

***Buddy was sick last night around 3am this morning. He wouldn't touch the 9 Lives this morning and threw up what he ate of the dry food after I left for County Market. We are on an 'Amber Medical Alert'.

650am: To County Market- $120; and back by 730am.

Watched 'OPERATION MINCEMEAT' (Netflix). The Allies were planning to take back Sicily from the Germans in 1943. They develop a plan to convince the Germans that they are invading Greece instead of Sicily. They drop a body off the coast of Spain and this corpse has a briefcase containing fraudulent information about a fake attack on Greece. The hope is that the Nazi's will take the bait, believe that they have captured a dead Allied spy, and defend the wrong site of invasion. It works and this is still considered one of the biggest and most successful operations of deception in history; with Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, and Jason Isaacs. A fine film with only a '65 Metascore'. It should be higher. 

***Around 11am guys from i3 Broadband were in the backyard to bury the cable but JULIE hadn't done their job. They are really running ahead of schedule.

1140am: PC is 'Off' and get a jump on the workout so that I can maybe finish 'THE TERMINAL LIST' by Jack Carr. 

 1155am:FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.5 SLANT and began a new podcast on Amazon Music called 'CRYPTO ISLAND'- crypto currency;  Robert Plant talks of a song he wrote with Alison Krause; 3 guys rate J.GEILS BAND 10 albums..

***JULIE painted orange lines in the backyard while I was on the treadmill. 

220pm-3pm: a quick lawn mow before rain later this afternoon and now tomorrow is wide open for the book sale. Half ass beats no ass and the grass looks passable. 

3pm: Reading 'THE TERMINAL LIST'

350pm:   TWO MILES AT 3.9 PACE (forgot to turn it up) AND 1.50 SLANT and more of CHRIS DISTEFANO on J.R.E. 

450pm:  In the tub with JACK CARR and listening to the HARD BOP playlist; 2 albums by J. GEILS BAND. For some odd reason when I got out of the tub I went outside and cut down some of the more egregious weeds on the side and out back. 

Watched the first episode of 'TWO SUMMERS' (Netflix) and half of the next one.  Friends meet 30 years later and learn that they are being blackmailed for a gang rape that occurred many years previously. Another fine Belgium/ French production. Filmed in Le Lavandou, France- 105 south of Nice along the coast.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
