***The plan is to watch a movie, mow the lawn, and then walk to Heartland Credit Union to deposit the checks from MetLife.

Watched 'VICE' (Netflix). A clever and biting satire of Dick Cheney's unprecedented rise to power; with Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Eddie Marsan, Shea Whigham, and Tyler Perry. 35 wins and 139 nominations. 

920am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing to mow the lawn. Then, Heartland and a long walk.

Mowed:945am-1030am.

1110am: To Heartland- Lynnhaven, Golf, Greenbriar, HEARTLAND: $650 Deposit; Devonwood, Wood Mill, Old Jack's, Lynhaven, Westview, and down to 940...ALMOST TWO HOURS...Mp3...THE BLACK CROWES. 

Reading 'Still Waters'

335pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and more MEGHAN MURPHY on J.R.E. 

450pm: in the tub with HOAG and listening to 'Mwandishi'- HERBIE HANCOCK, two hours of fusion jazz bliss. Apparently, this was done after Hancock's exposure to Miles Davis's funk/jazz ensemble. 

Listened to a 1970 interview with Jim Morrison by Tony Thomas on YouTube.

Watched Netflix disc 'THE SILENCING'. A recovering alcoholic is trying to find out what happened to his daughter who disappeared five years previously. The evil villain is the medical examiner who likes to stalk his victims in a ghillie suit. This might have been better as a novel. An 'atlatl' is featured and this is a kind of spear or dart that is propelled by a wooden rod or stick and was developed over 30,000 years ago. Filmed in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, CA. 435 miles west of Montreal and 250 miles north of Toronto, CA.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
