Up 520am: Bright and sunny with temps to upper 80's.
***Changed a light bulb in the fixture on the kitchen ceiling. The light over the sink is no longer dependable. Call the electrician for that light, the light in the bathroom, and the electrical outlet in the hall.
***Watered the flowers along the front walk.
Watched Netflix disc 'GRAND ISLE'. Nicholas Cage and Kelsey Grammer garner a '29 Metascore' and according to VARIETY- "A sub-Tennessee Williams potboiler triangle between restless sexpot, impotent husband, and hunky handyman ever-so-slowly congeals into a lumpy gumbo of thriller elements in Grand Isle." Filmed on location in Jackson, Louisiana; Orwo Studios.
Watched 'THE MARTHA MITCHELL EFFECT' (Netflix). I was unfamiliar with this footnote of history, but Martha Mitchell was an extreme critic of the Nixon administration even though her husband, John Mitchell was Nixon's Attorney General. The 'Martha Mitchell Effect' is a real condition and refers to a process in which a person's beliefs are initially labeled as delusional, but later turn out to be true.
1030am: PC is 'Off' and will do the Weekly Cleaning and then a walk downtown to mail back the discs. I was going to Esporta but the weather is too nice and more molten days are ahead when it will be too hot to walk.
1135am: Downtown- Parkview, Wash.Pk southside, Vine, Heartland on South Grand- no night deposit box, South Grand alley to Spring and north to the Capitol, Monroe PO, Edwards, Fairway, and up to 940...TWO HOURS...Mp3...HUMBLE PIE; SKEPTIC TANK.
Reading 'STILL WATERS'
350pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began BOBBY AZARIAN on J.R.E.
440m: In the tub and read an internet article about Steve Marriott's last night by the cab driver that took him home. Then I got a free sample of a Marriott bio at Amazon books. Not sure if I will get the book. Listening to COLOSSEUM; SMALL FACES.
Watched 'TREES OF PEACE' (Netflix). Four women spent 81 days hiding in a basement room during the Rwandan Massacre of 1994. This almost seemed like it could have been done as a play and chock full of high drama and a little overwrought.
