Up 545am: Partly cloudy with temps to about 80.
Watched Netflix disc 'THE CURRENT WAR'. A history of the intellectual battle and personal feud between Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse during their race to bring light and power to the world. I guess Edison wins, but the biggest take-away is that the film effectively dramatizes the shock of what it must have been like to go from no electricity to electric lights and power, 24/7; with Benedict Cumberbatch (Edison), Michael Shannon (Westinghouse), and Nicholas Hoult (Tesla).
Although I also agree with this review at Observer (UK): " It all seems a little too eager to distract from the fact that top-hatted, frock-coated, mutton-chopped chaps burbling on about the relative advantages of the alternating current versus direct current system does not, in fact, make for electrifying drama."
Watched 'METAL LORDS' (Netflix). An interesting 'coming of age' tale as seen through the prism of Heavy Metal. Filmed outside Portland, Oregon.
From the San Francisco Chronicle and it says it all:
"While the movie can play like one big valentine to an adolescent’s adoration of metal music culture, it also nails the most important aspect of metal music in a teen’s life: how it can provide a sense of power to misfits who often feel like they have none."
"The song Machinery Of Torment was composed by Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who also serves as executive music producer for the movie".
Wrote a reminder to Janny about the library book sale on Saturday.

355pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and more ALI SIDDIQ on J.R.E.
445pm: In the tub with JACK CARR and listening to 'MILES DAVIS: Live at the Fillmore East- 1970'; THEM.
Watched some of the latest 'JOEY'S JOINT' on YouTube.
Watched 'IDENTITY' (Netflix). A group of strangers are stranded at a remote motel due to a flood. Then, it's revealed that they are all manifestations of the personality of one mass murderer. The one remaining personality seems to have made it to her dream of owning an orange farm, but the little boy in the mix is the real psycho. Silly beyond belief, but a wild and crazy cast makes it worth a look...kind of; with John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, John Hawkes, Alfred Molina, Clea DuVall, Jake Busey, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Rebecca De Mornay.
