Fr 7/15/22

710am (2). 10am (1). 220pm (1). 425pm (1). 645pm (1).

Up 530am. Buddy was dry heaving trying to wake me up. I have to ask the vet what's up with the 'clear liquid' vomit when he's agitated? It happens only after a long period of no food.

Although I watered the flowers along the front walk, it began raining about 830am and will continue on and off through early afternoon. Temps to the upper 70's.

Paid the card

Watched Netflix disc 'CRY MACHO'. A little corny and a lot sentimental, but still worth a look. An old cowhand owes a big debt to a very wealthy friend. The rich man wants the cowboy to go to Mexico City and find his 13 year old son and bring him back to Texas. At first it seems like a good thing, but later he learns that the man only wants the boy to use as a bargaining chip in a bitter custody battle with his ex wife. The old man and the boy share in a host of fanciful and charming adventures. Probably a big hit at the 'COMMON SENSE' movie website; with Clint Eastwood, Dwight Yoakum, and a mostly Mexican cast. Filmed in Belen and Polvadera, New Mexico (70 miles south of Albuquerque) although the film is set in Mexico.

Watched 'CAPTIVE BETHLEHEM SIEGE, PALESTINE' (Netflix). In 2002 Palestinian soldiers claim 'sanctuary' for forty days in a Christian church in Bethlehem. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. No new ground broken...

1115am: PC is 'Off' and because it's supposed to rain till about 1pm. I will do three miles on the treadmill and walk later to mail back the disc.

1130am:  THREE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and finished a THEO VON podcast

Weights/  12 reps.

Reading 'A LIFE ON THE WILD SIDE' by Bettina Drew.

225pm:  Mail back disc; out & back Edwards...TASTE; listened to 'WE MIGHT BE DRUNK podcast (Mark Norman and friends)...ONE HOUR AND 45 MINUTES.

430pm: In the tub with NELSON ALGREN bio and listening to STAN WEBB & CHICKEN SHACK; THE ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO.

Because Plex TV recommended  'SOUL POWER' (Plex) I wanted to see it but later learned that it was '$'.  I need to go back and delete all of my 'faves' that require a fee.

*** Wasted time and then settled on  'GIRL IN THE PICTURE' (Netflix). A long and confusing 'true crime' about a man who kidnapped children and married one of them. His high school age wife went to a local school and was quite popular. Her friends were aghast! I just couldn't get into the film, and maybe I'm just too tired.
