Mo 7/25/22- Mowed the lawn
735am (bong). 9am (1-hit). 1150am (bong). 435pm (1- hit). 650pm (bong).
Up 515am: Cloudy but much cooler with temps only to the upper 70's.
***While trying to coil the hose it sprung a leak and I noticed that the hose attached to the spigot is far too tight. The leak can be taped but I'd really like to get the fucking hose off the side of the house during the winter.
9am: MR. SANDLESS van arrives at 'abandoned' house.
***I had planned to call a locksmith but before I started the movie I tightened the screws on the locks and now everything works perfectly. I am still going to buy new deadbolts for both doors. I need a new toilet seat as well, so a drive down to Menards is in the near future.
Watched 'THE GRAY MAN' (Netflix). Standard 'Secret Agent Man' Nonsense. Rogue CIA 'Agent-In-Charge' decides that it is more advantageous to run the agency without moral scruples. One 'super agent' fights back. Corny, to be sure, but lots of 'boom-boom' and terse, pithy dialogue; with Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Billy Bob Thornton, and Alfre Woodard.
***Just as I came upstairs from hitting the bong, they came to bury the cable. One of the guys was surprised that the old line looked so 'new'. I gave him the stony reasons why.
12pm: Parkview, Wash. Pk. northside, Walnut, Leland, Lincoln, Outer Park, Wiggins, Wash. Pk., up the hill, Parkview, Kenyon, and down to 940...'The Inner Mounting Flame'- BILLY COBHAM/ ANDREW SCJULZ on J.R.E...ONE HOUR AND 50 MINUTES.
Finished 'ANY PLACE I HANG MY HAT' by SUSAN ISAACS and began 'THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM' by NELSON ALGREN.
320pm: Mowed the lawn
440pm: In the tub with NELSON ALGREN and listening to SONNY STITT; THE MONTY ALEXANDER TRIO with MILT JACKSON.
Began '16 YEARS OF ALCOHOL' (Kanopy).
***Getting some 'buffering' issues so I'll watch this first thing tomorrow morning and tonight continue with another episode of 'CHLOE' (Amazon Prime). Two hours remain and it's really getting mysterious. The story is very convoluted and I'm about 80% following the various clues and subtexts. I wonder if this is based on a novel?
