Up 520am: An uncomfortably humid mix of clouds, sun, and light showers with temps to about 90. How long will the windows remain open?

Watched 'THE WAILING' (Peacock-TV). A small town Korean cop notices that strange events have been happening around the village since a Japanese man joined the community. The film offers "an atmospheric, cleverly constructed mystery whose supernatural thrills more than justify its imposing length."

"This is a horror film that jumbles up ghosts, zombies, body horror, Eastern exorcism, Christian mythology, demonic curses, creepy children, and a lot more into one sustained narrative."  The cop pays a local shaman to cast a spell to rid the town of the Japanese 'ghost'. He pays $10,000 South Korean Won (seems like a whole lotta loot!), but that's only $7.63 in American dollars.

1030am: It's getting very humid, so the PC is 'Off' and the AC is 'On'.  I'll do the Weekly Cleaning and then a session on the treadmill.

355pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began a JOEY'S JOINT. 

440pm: In the tub with ISAACS and listening to PAPA M; 'Love & Theft' - BOB DYLAN. 

Watched 'MY DAUGHTER'S KILLER' (Netflix). In the early 1980's a young girl dies and a questionable autopsy is released. The girl's father is convinced that she was raped by the family physician and died in an attempted coverup. The father spends almost thirty years trying to have the doctor brought to trial in a French courtroom. Finally, he engages some men to kidnap the doctor and bring him to France where he can be arraigned. A rather dull case of professional men taking sexually advantage of women and being ignored by the legal system.  No new ground was broken. 

***915pm: When I was getting ready for bed I noticed a cop car at the guy's house next door for most of an hour. What gives?

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
