Tu 7/12/22- Xfinity Appointment/Walmart/Shoe Carnival
Tu 7/12/22- Xfinity : 130pm
705am (2). 930am (1). 1pm (a few hits pre-roll). 345pm (1). 630pm (1).
Up 530am: Sunny with temps to lower 80's.
Borrowed 'PURE' from Hoopla to see more by Alicia Vikander.
Watched 'Pure' (Hoopla). Another terrific art film. This one is about a young girl with nothing going for her until she hears her first Mozart concert. She gets a temp job at the concert hall and has an affair with the conductor and mayhem ensues; with the brilliant Alicia Vikander...'Courage is life's only measure'-Soren Kierkegaard. This quotation seems to be a theme of the film, but isn't murder a little too far? I loved this one and gave it '5 Stars'.
905am: PC is 'Off' and going to hit the sidewalks before the appointment with Xfinity at 130pm.
940am: Parkview, Country Club, Laurel, Outer Park, Lincoln, Leland, Walnut, Wash.Pk southside and across Park, up the hill, Parkview, Kenyon, and down to 940...TWU HOURS...BAND OF GYPSIES; JACK DEJOHNETTE, KEITH JARRET, PAT MATHENY.
115pm: To Xfinity...the young black guy was talking to another clerk about how much he would make (personally) on his last interaction. They get rewarded if they 'up-sell'? I agreed to a new plan and I thought I was on the '$45 Unlimited' but I wasn't. I still don't get it and I'm not satisfied with the interaction. I made an appointment for next Tuesday to have the system changed to Xfinity and will expect a tech between 10am and noon/ Walmart- I bought a bag of dry cat food and a twelve pack of 9 Lives, some wrapping paper, and a lengthy discussion with a clerk about an 'external optical reader' and they didn't have one, and he didn't know what he was talking about. I felt like I was being punked / Shoe Carnival- Two pairs of running/walking shoes.
Home to read more of the bio of Nelson Algren.
350pm: TWO MILES AT 4..1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began a TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'.
440pm: In the tub with NELSON ALGREN bio and listening to DELVON LAMARR ORGAN TRIO.
Watched 'THE DOORS' (Amazon Prime). Val Kilmer delivers an unsettling yet accurate performance of Jim Morrison as the 'pied piper/drunken mystic' of the Swinging Sixties, yet the tone of the film is frenzied and plays to every cliche about rock n roll excess; with Val Kilmer, Meg Ryan, Kyle Maclachlan, Frank Whaley, Kevin Dillon, Michael Madsen, and Billy Idol. Directed by Oliver Stone.
Will watch the last forty minutes tomorrow.
