735am (2). 1115am (2 hits pre-roll). 4pm (1/2). 630pm (2). 805pm (1/2). 

Up 545am: Hot and nasty with actual temps to one hundred and 'feels like' through the roof. AC will be 'On' all day and tomorrow as well.

Janny sent an email saying that they will be home until 3pm. They have to take Jonas to his session and I said that I'd be at Red Oak about noon. I disconnected the PC and it's all ready to go.

Watched 'BORN TO BE BLUE' (Kanopy). Chet Baker's problems with heroin and life in general. I had seen it before but it was well worth another viewing; with Ethan Hawke, Carmen Ejogo, and Callum Keith Rennie. "Hello Fear, Hello Death...Fuck You".

I was going to watch more of the biopic of the crooked Italian lawyer (Peacock-TV), but decided to get in a few miles on the treadmill. 

1005am: PC is 'Off'

1015am:  THREE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and more of HOTEP JESUS on J.R.E. 

1120am:  BLH/ Red Oak

New PC. My computer was so old that they said they really couldn't make it faster. I got fifty bucks on the trade-in. The new PC is about the size of a paperback book. It's solid state and faster than shit. I will have to get someone to hook it up because, of course, it was way beyond me. The monitor is just a black screen and everything seems to be plugged in.  

***RED OAK LAND: 12pm-245pm: Janny and I talked and talked. Joe reclined. She gave me a bunch of books that I had loaned to her and she said she loved them all. When I attend Tommy's one year bash I will bring her some more of my faves. They had to take Jonas to therapy at 3pm.

No dice hooking up the PC. The monitor remained black. Who was I kidding? 

404pm: THREE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND 1.50 SLANT and began a SKEPTIC TANK (Ari with 3 other comics on the roof of his building).

***SIX MILES ON THE TREADMILL TODAY.

 455pm: In the tub with 'A THIN DARK LINE' and listening to GRAHAM BOND.

And for the positive side of the story....I had no problem hooking up the new mouse to the living room PC (Yippie!), and I got an email from Ameriprise that I still have a 99% Probability of Success- 'Above Confidence Zone'.

Watched 'DISCONNECT' (Amazon Prime).  Separate stories about the intersection of people's lives and connection through media; 1) Teenage boy sells himself sexually online; 2)  A lonely high school boy is bullied into hanging himself; 3) An estranged couple have their identities stolen and lose everything. A little corny, but well worth a look; with Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Michael Nyqvist, and Andrea Riseborough.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
