Up 545am: Humid and partly sunny with rain and thunderstorms beginning late this afternoon with temps to upper 80's. 

***I walked to Walgreens to mail back the disc; 720am-740am.

When I opened the box for more weed I thought that the weed I bought a couple of weeks ago was gone. One of the 1/8ths was in a jar and one was in a tinfoil package and this accounted for the confusion. And then, when I opened the plastic jar of Shortbread Popcorn I had to use a hammer to shatter the top. Why do they have to make the cannabis containers more sinister than 'child-proof'. 

Watched 'WASHINGTON SQUARE' (Hoopla- borrowed Saturday). Set in upper class NYC during the late 19th century a young woman falls for a young man who might only care about her fortune, but her father nixes any chance of marriage. Heartbreak and trauma follow. An excellent adaptation of a novel by Henry James ; with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Albert Finney, Maggie Smith, Ben Chaplin, and Jennifer Garner.

I finished the last 25" of 'DELHI CRIME' (Netflix) that I began last night. There were tribes in Delhi that the authorities treated as 'born criminals' and they were harassed and 'held for questioning' without reason or evidence.

***I forgot to put the can of Friskies back in the fridge and Buddy gorged. This was the worst day for this to happen since he was throwing up yesterday. However he ate again when I put more in his dish as I was leaving. And, he was fine (and hungry) when I got back from Planet Fitness. 

1145am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for an afternoon at Planet Fitness

1215pm:  To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  30"Treadmill.  30"Cross and began 'A KIDNAPPING SCANDAL: The Florence Cassez Affair' (Netflix)- 2 episodes; Top cops in Mexico produce a fake tape portraying a kidnapping gang's arrest to help their approval rating,  then finished MARK ZUCKERBERG on J.R.E, and a TUESDAYS WITH STORIES. 

435pm: In the tub with a new novel, 'GENTKILL' by Paul Lindsay and listening to 'Songs For A Tailor'- JACK BRUCE; JOHNNY WINTER. 

***510pm: Called Brewer and I'll drop off Buddy between 730am & 830am tomorrow, they will do the blood work and call with the results. And he'll get a new gel-pen. 

There is a Severe Weather Warning up until 10pm, The radar looks very 'yellow/red' until at least 9pm. 

Watched some of the new (8/29)  'JOEY'S JOINT'. He's back from a family vacation in North Carolina. 

Watched more of 'A KIDNAPPING SCANDAL: The Florence Cassez Affair' (Netflix). I shut it down for the night with 30 mins left to go in episode #4.

Heavy rain and storms through the night. (When I got up on Tuesday morning I checked the rain gauge and not even a quarter inch of rain had fallen at 940).

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
