Watched 'THE IMMIGRANT' (Hoopla). A beautifully crafted film about the plight of two sisters. They are fresh off the boat from Poland arriving at Ellis Island, NY during the winter of 1921. One sister is confined to the hospital with lung disease (TB?) and the other sister is rescued by a man who seems to be a white slaver.  Technically he did introduce her to prostitution, but it seemed to be an expedient way out- for both of them. The guy was sincerely acting in her best interests (as well as his own) because she could make more money being a vaudevillian act rather than sewing for a living. Nobody in the film acted like you would expect in a movie, but more like conflicted and confused human beings; with Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jeremy Renner. 17 wins and 29 nominations. Filmed at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens, NYC.

Watched the last episode of 'DELHI CRIME' (Netflix). The trial (not part of the series) resulted in 4 death sentences, 1 suicide, and 1 juvenile who got 3 years. The male victim did give a TV interview and the female victim died of her injuries within two weeks of the attack. I'd like to see more Indian crime shows. 

11am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do the Weekly Cleaning and then drive to Planet Fitness and a case of Busch Light on the way home. 

1130am-12pm: Weekly Cleaning 

1225pm: To Planet Fitness. 45"Cross.  45"Treadmill. 30"Cross  30"Bike.  30"Cross and watched a documentary about obesity and the Food Industry called 'FED UP' (AMAZON PRIME) ;  began a JOEY'S JOINT; began RICH BENOIT on J.R.E;  and an episode of 'THE FBI FILES' (AMAZON PRIME) - Legal big wig from Delaware murders his mistress. 

Then across the street for a 30 pk of Busch.

440pm:  In the tub with 'JACK & JILL' and listening to THE ALABAMA SHAKES'; ELIE PAPERBOY REED; THE SUFFERS. 

6pm: Reading PATTERSON and didn't even go downstairs. No Evening Movie and just read and listened to 'Legacy Edition'- BITCHES BREW.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
