 Th 8/11/22- Mowed the lawn

655am (B). 845am (2-B). 1035am (B). 310pm (2- B). 420pm (2- gr/wh). 615pm (B).

Up 510am: Partly sunny, humid and temps to low 80's.

***When I took out the trash at dawn I grabbed my saw and finished cutting branches that were on my side of the fence. They can dispose.

Learned that the weed I'm smoking ("Bubba Fett") is a 'mild' Indica known for calming and sedating effects; 16% THC. I'll just have to smoke more and remember that my taste leans more toward Sativa. I wonder what a more potent THC Indica would be like?

Watched 'CARTER' (Netflix). The plotline is more dizzying than complicated, but part of it involves a coalition between the North and South Koreans against the CIA. And there are zombies! However, there are some of the best CGI effects that I've ever seen in a movie. The opening 'big scene' involves a few hundred naked men in a spa and they're all armed with knives, hatchets, scimitars, daggers, machetes and they are fighting ONE man. A memorable scene is when the hero forces a villain's head to the pavement from the side of a speeding minivan. Although, during all of these sequences it was more like watching a video game, but still very compelling.

***They mowed the lawn of the house next to me in about fifteen minutes. Those guys attack like a hoard of locusts.

1010am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to go for a long walk and then maybe mow the lawn later this afternoon. No rush since I mowed (all but part of the back lawn) last Thursday.

***I ran the Windows Updates and it seemed to go wrong because it took so long. I hope things go OK when I try to run the updates downstairs tonight. Why am I the only one who has so much trouble with this fucking Windows foolishness?

1045am: Parkview, Wash.Pk northside, Walnut, Leland, Lincoln, Outer Park, Wiggins, Wash.Pk southside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...TWO HOURS...THEM; J.R.E- 2 English conservative talk jocks.

215pm-3pm: Mowed the (entire) lawn.

315pm: Reading 'THE STAR SPANGLED CRUNCH' by Richard Condon (finished about half of the novella) then switched to 'JACK & JILL' by James Patterson.

420pm: In the tub with 'JACK & JILL' and listening to 'Pink Flag'- WIRE; 'Singles Going Steady'- THE BUZZCOCKS.

Watched 'CEDAR RAPIDS' (Amazon Prime). A nerdy insurance salesman attends the yearly convention and takes a walk on the wild side in sinful Cedar Rapids. He indulges in drugs and alcohol for the first time, falls in love with a prostitute, and all of this hilarious confusion leads to positive change. A gross movie with a particularly sweet message; with ; Ed Helms, John C. Reilly, Anne Heche, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Kurtwood Smith.

Some more of 'DELHI CRIME' (Netflix). Very well done and a look at how Indians handle crime- it seems that most suspects are physically struck, lied to, and intimidated by the police; angry cops throw their shoes at suspects who have incurred their wrath.
