Up 545am: Partly sunny, humid and temps to just over 90. AC is 'On' from the get go. 

Watched 'WILD CARD' (Netflix).  A Las Vegas tough guy helps a female sex worker, gets real lucky, and then almost loses it all when he meets a multimillionaire dork. Lots of intricate hand to hand combat and some pithy dialogue, not much else but still worth a look; with David Stratham, Hope Davis, Stanley Tucci,  Michael Angarano, and Anne Heche. 'WILD CARD' is a remake of 'HEAT' which was a 1986 film starring Burt Reynolds. Both were based on the novel by William Goldman - 'HEAT' and he also wrote the screenplay for this and 'ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN', 'THE PRINCESS BRIDE', 'BUTCH CASSIDY & THE SUNDANCE KID', 'THE STEPFORD WIVES', 'MARATHON MAN', and many others. 

I called A-1 Lock and got no satisfaction. The woman had already booked the appointment for next Thursday and never called me back for confirmation. I got a bad feeling from the guy that I talked to last Friday and I wouldn't recommend this outfit to anyone. When I called Dave's Locksmith he called back in five minutes and was very informative and acted like he wanted the job. 

***DAVE'S LOCKSMITH- Friday, 8/5 between 11am and noon

About 10am it began raining cats and dogs. Over an inch and a half fell and I'm waiting till after 11am before I take off for errands and then Planet Fitness.  Vitamins at the supplement store/Menards (rebate?) hose/pliers/toilet seat...PLANET FITNESS...up the hill for lawnmower gas.

11am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for the afternoon's events

1145am: On the road. I got everything with no problem. $71 credit, but still $92; toilet seat,  pliers, hose, vitamins and on the machines by 1pm. Cut back on the treadmill because 'runner's knee' is becoming a problem.

45"Cross.  45"Treadmill.  30"Bike.  15"Treadmill.  45"Cross and watched a documentary: 'SHANIA TWAIN- Not Just A Girl' (Netflix), more of BERTCAST with family, and a JOEY'S JOINT.

Hose no go and I think I'm going to have to ask Joe to bring a wrench to remove the hose the next time they come over to 940.

510pm: In the tub with 'ANIMAL FARM' and listening to HUMBLE PIE. 

Watched 'CHIPS' (Netflix). Silly, mindless and some decent motorcycle stunts but not much else; with Michael Pena, Dax Shepard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Rosa Salazar, and Kristin Bell. Written and directed by Dax Shepard.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
