Fr 9/23/22- Buddy Sick/ Phone Update

710am (B). 1135am (1-SB). 145pm (1-SB). 345pm (1-SB). 435pm (1-SB). 640pm (B).

Up 545am: A cool day with temps only in the upper 50's and showers beginning early this afternoon and extending through this evening.

***Buddy was sick after his first feeding (6am), but he seemed ok. Maybe only a hairball and he was busy looking out the front window in no time. By 8am he seemed back to normal and I opened a new can at 815am but he threw up at 830am.

Watched the Netflix disc 'DRIVE MY CAR'. I still don't know why the director in the film chose to have the characters speak in different languages in his adaptation of 'UNCLE VANYA'. I watched a couple of YouTube videos about the film and YT reviewers agreed that this was a rich and dense film with many layers and interpretations, but not for everyone. My takeaway: "Humans are sly creatures who have numerous subtle ways of communicating which can include storytelling. The teller of a tale can reveal much about himself during the telling of the story". Directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. Won 1 Oscar; 79 wins & 91 nominations

***The DVD player worked flawlessly and the screen saver didn't engage while the disc played.

10am: I gave Buddy another serving and it's still in him at 11am. 130pm: he seems back to normal and eager for his bent blue dish.

I finished the next chapter of 'HEIST' (Netflix). In Miami a group of cousins and brothers steal over 7 million in cash from a loading dock. There were a couple of hundred million in bags but they couldn't carry any more than 7 million. The ringleader only wanted $30,000 so that he and his wife could adopt a baby. Nobody would believe it, but it happened. No security cameras in the warehouse and the guards were all unarmed.

1110am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. I don't want to leave until I know Buddy is out of the woods and holding down his food. The disc is on the mailbox at 940 and I'll hit Planet Fitness tomorrow.

1140am:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and almost finished 'HEIST' (NETFLIX) - Pappy Van Winkle bourbon liquor theft.

Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps

***120pm- 135pm: Big phone update yet installation was a breeze.  No difference in performance,  but it loaded a new wallpaper style which I removed immediately..."End World Hunger" ?!?!

Reading 'FALSE MEMORY'

345pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT, finished 'HEIST' (NETFLIX) - Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, and began TONY HINCHCLIFFE & KIM HAUN on J.R.E.

440pm:  In the tub with 'FALSE MEMORY' and listening to 'Beck-Ola'- JEFF BECK; JEFF BECK GROUP.

***When I opened the downstairs PC I ran the Xfinity Speed Test and it scored '148'. A couple of days ago it was only in the mid 40's. Results May Differ.

Watched 'TRAFFIK' (Tubi-tv).  A couple enjoy a romantic weekend at a beautiful vacation home in northern California and run a foul of a biker gang, a crooked sherrif, and an international prostitution ring. More silly than harrowing and not even slightly believable. Nice end credits: tractor trailers upside down from the sky. Maybe the best thing in the entire film.
