Watched 'THE FORGIVEN' (Hoopla). An upper-class couple is invited to a gala affair at a friend's estate in the North African desert. The man had been drinking all day and accidentally ran over a local young man who stepped into the roadway.  The next day, the boy's father travels to the compound and insists that the driver must accompany him back to their village for his son's burial. A very interesting film about Class, Race, and Entitlement- think 'THE UGLY AMERICAN', only British acting badly; with Matt Smith, Jessica Chastain, Ralph Fiennes, Caleb Landry Jones, Abbey Lee, and Christopher Abbott. 

I ordered a new hoodie from Amazon.  After entirely too much thought I decided to go with a 'medium'. It didn't matter since my bonus points covered the cost, so it was free.

Began 'SACRED GAMES' (Netflix). A somewhat 'highly rated' Indian police procedural drama and I'm somewhat hooked after an episode and a half.  Are there police departments anywhere in India that are free from corruption?

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
