Watched 'BECOMING ASTRID' (Hoopla- new this month). "How can you write so well about being a child when you haven't been one for so long?"  This question from a boy in the fourth grade begins the film and the answer becomes a penetrating expose of Astrid Lindgren's experience as an unwed mother in Sweden and Denmark during the 1920's.  Astrid Lindgren went on to create the character of Pippi Longstocking; with Alba August as Astrid Lindgren. A powerful film.

Another episode of 'DELHI CRIME' (Netflix). Even though the police know that their suspects did not commit the crimes, they insist that prosecution continues because they are from 'the criminal class'.  'Madame, Sir' refuses to go along with the plan. 

1150am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. 

1210pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT finished DAVE MUSTAINE on J.R.E., and began NICK SWARDSON on THEO VON.

450pm:  In the tub with GENTKILL and listening to FREDDIE KING.

Reading GENTKILL in the living room and listened to' Snake Farm'- RAY WYLIE HUBBARD.

715pm: The first episode of 'OFF THE HOOK' (Netflix). Silly French rom-com TV series about social media and I couldn't take more than ten minutes of it.

Began the first episode of 'ECHOES' (Netflix).

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
