Watched 'MISSISSIPPI BURNING' (Amazon Prime- leaving today). A powerful film about the FBI's involvement in the murder of three civil rights workers in Mississippi during the racial strife of the early 1960's. The same 'Christian White Nationalists' ideas are probably stronger and more popular today than they were sixty years ago; with Gene Hackman, Willem Dafoe, Frances McDormand, Brad Dourif, R. Lee Ermey, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Michael Rooker (confused him with Holt McCallany of MINDHUNTERS).

And then more of 'DAHMER' (Netflix). The stench gets too much and the neighbor lady has Jeff evicted. What kind of meat was in the sandwich that Dahmer gave her? 

1125am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.   

1145am:   FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT finished episode #8 of 'DAHMER' (NETFLIX), and more MARC MARON on BERTCAST. 

140pm:  To Fairhills County Market:  $103 (no beer), returned and put away by 230pm.

Reading 'THE HANDMAID'S TALE'

440pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and more of JORDAN PETERSON on J.R.E. 

540pm: In the tub with 'THE HANDMAID'S TALE' but I didn't read any of it and read Wikipedia about 'The Making of EXILE ON MAIN STREET' and bio of Mick Taylor and listening to 'Another Green World'- BRIAN ENO; 'Exile On Main Street'- STONES; 'Crusade'- JOHN MAYALL. 

Began the first episode of 'THE EMPRESS' (Netflix). It Begins about 1850 with the wedding of Franz Joseph of Austria to Elisabeth of Hungary. I'll do more of this series and it's got the #1 slot for tomorrow's Morning Movie.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
