Up 530am: Partly sunny with temps to upper 70's.

Watched 'THE CHILD IN TIME' (Hoopla). What a strange and amazing film and adapted from a novel by Ian McEwan.  A young couple loses their three year old daughter. She's abducted while the man is paying at a supermarket and the film is about the disintegration of their marriage. A subplot concerns the man's best friend who is a high ranking figure in the British government who appears to be losing his mind. A very odd combination, but it really works;  with Benedict Cumberbatch, Kelly Macdonald, and Stephen Campbell Moore.  

Then I finished the last episode of 'DEVIL IN OHIO' (Netflix). Mae is NOT a sympathetic character! It's got a compelling ' Teen Trash TV' vibe and I kinda liked it! Shot in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada.  

Watched an insightful YouTube video about the series..."Remarkably unremarkable, without being bad". That sums it up.

Then I watched the first episode of 'I SURVIVED A CRIME' (Netflix). Uber drivers have 30% more dangerous jobs than police or security guards.  A 93 year old man shoots up a computer monitor,  then shoots the manager two times in the legs. More Trash TV...

1110am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill. Very tired today and I only got up fifteen minutes earlier.  

1130am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and watched the entire new episode of JOEY'S JOINT, and began the new TUESDAYS WITH STORIES.

Reading 'THE COFFEE TRADER'

355pm:  TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and began MIKE BAKER (ex- CIA) on J.R.E. 

445pm: In the tub with 'THE COFFEE TRADER' and listening to THE FACES (Rhino; discs 4 & 5); RON WOOD.

Janny sent an email asking what hearing aid place I went to. Sent her- BELTONE.

Watched Netflix disc 'OUT OF DEATH'.  One of the most ridiculous movies that I've seen in ages. So bad, it was bad. A woman is hiking to spread her dad's ashes and comes upon a crooked local sheriff who is executing a 'confidential informant'. No one did anything that was even slightly believable;  with Bruce Willis, Jaime King, and La La Kent (VANDERPUMP RULES). Filmed on location in San Juan, Puerto Rico. La La wasn't in the Bonus Features.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
