Fr 10/21/22
730am (B). 10am (2-SB). 1140am (B). 440pm (2-SB). 655pm (B).
Up 6am: Bright and sunny with temps to upper 70's.
Watched 'OLD PEOPLE' (Netflix). The film is set at a wedding party in rural Germany and residents at the local old age home 'take it to the streets'. The Message: Old people have been suffering ill treatment and neglect from younger contemporaries, and now is the time to take their (very violent and bloody) revenge. Or, the film could mean that it's time to stop supporting these creepy old freaks that add nothing and only take from society. An interesting take on the 'zombie genre'.
Watched 'MURDER IN THE COVE' (Amazon Prime). A fifty minute True Crime about the murder of a young fisherman in Nova Scotia. He had made a criminal career of stealing lobsters from other fishermen's traps and finally a local boat captain could take no more. On that fateful day, the captain and crew caught him stealing pots in the harbor and they shot him, rammed and sank his boat, and dragged him out to the middle of the bay and dropped his weighted body. The men were sentenced to many years in prison but only did five years. People in the local community were divided. Some felt the crew did what needed to be done and others felt that no one deserves to die like that. The Canadian accents sometimes were nearly impenetrable.
1110am: PC is 'Off' and the plan is to do The Weights, and then head to Planet Fitness for a workout. And I'm hoping that the wifi situation has been solved. After the workout it's out to Conestoga Drive to mail the moccasins back to Amazon.
1150am: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross. 45"Treadmill. 30"Bike. 30"Treadmill. 30"Cross..
***Wi-Fi not working! I talked to 'the kids' at the front desk and 'they've put the call in'. It's been two weeks and it couldn't be very high on their list of priorities. No soap in the showers, but free pens for one and all.
Watched 4 part documentary 'HIGH' (NETFLIX). Two European women fly from Ibiza to Lima, Peru because some guy told them he would make them rich. Then more of ANTHONY KIEDIS on J.R.E.
325pm: To UPS...A snap. UPS Store in the Meijer's is upfront & new label and receipt made in less than a minute. Store too crowded so I put off the groceries.
***Having problems with 'syncing' the music on Amazon Prime. It takes far too long and seems to get hung up.
445pm: In the tub with '10, 000 SAINTS' and listening to 'EXILE ON MAIN STREET shuffled.
Began 'BOTTLE SHOCK' (Amazon Prime). It's a 'feel good' , light comedy/ drama about the beginnings of the California wine industry in the mid 1970's; with Chris Pine, Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman, Rachael Taylor, and Dennis Farina... "Wine is sunlight held together by water"- Galileo
I shut it down with 38 minutes left to go and I'll finish it tomorrow morning.
