Up 530am: Sunny with temps to about 70.

I had planned to watch more of 'EMPRESS' but I noticed that there is a movie about Beatrix Potter on Hoopla, so that's today's Morning Movie. Later I noticed that I had received 'ALL  OR NOTHING' in yesterday's mail. 

I also noticed that I really DID receive 'ANY PLACE I HANG MY HAT' by Susan Isaacs and I wrote the Amazon seller that everything was AOK. I wrote my notes on the book for the blog but I still don't remember the novel. 

'MISS POTTER' (Hoopla). An endearing and romanticized look at one of the most popular children's writers of all time, Beatrix Potter.  Wealthy single women of the late 19th century might have had a superabundance of wealth, yet the social restrictions of the era prevented them from fully utilizing the power of capital. Beatrix Potter was a woman who broke that barrier. Although her conservation efforts in England's Lake District are covered, nothing in the movie addressed her love of botany and science and I don't think that the relationship between Potter and her first editor actually happened; Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, Emily Watson, Barbara Flynn, and Bill Paterson. 

More of 'EMPRESS' (Netflix). Enough 19th costume dramas for today and I think I'll do some 'DAHMER' tonight to cleanse the palate. 

1110am: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk to the credit union to deposit the fifty dollar rebate check from the state of Illinois. 

 1145am- 120pm: To Heartland; Westview,  Lynhaven,  Old Jack's,  Wood Mill, Heartland Credit Union, Greenbriar,  Golf,  Oakmont,  Parkview, and down to 940... ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES...ROLLING STONES- 'Get Yer Ya Yas Out', 'Stripped' (shuffled).

Reading  and finished 'THE HANDMAID'S TALE'.

355pm: TWO MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and finished JORDAN PETERSON on J.R.E. 

450pm: In the tub with a new novel; 'EVERYONE DIES' by MICHAEL MCGARRITY and listening to 'A Bigger Bang'- THE STONES (shuffled).

More of 'EMPRESS' (Netflix). Shut it down with 12 minutes left to go in episode #4- Six episodes total.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
