Fr 12/23/22- Gel-Pen/ Ankle Sprain?
705am (B). 1045am (2-B). 435pm (2-B). 645pm (B).
Up 530am: Frigid temperatures with blowing snow (not really enough for drifting, at least on Westview) and today's high is only three degrees! We only got about two inches of snow yesterday and this morning the temperature at 6am in the garage was 10. That's the lowest reading I've ever seen in the garage.
Watched 'I CAME BY' (Netflix). An odd film about 'tagging' and a pair of clever graffiti artists. These guys break into rich people's homes and leave the tag, 'I Came By'. And, in one house one of them discovers that the owner had a kidnapped man imprisoned in a hidden basement room. An overly excessive body count for such a strange film; with Kelly Macdonald.
***I turned on the gas fireplace for the first time this season and within ten minutes it kicked off the carbon monoxide alarm. I shut it down and brought out the electric heater. I'd like to drop the gas and convert the 'fireplace' to electric. Maybe down the road, but later I Googled and learned that gas is cheaper.
930am: Brewer called back to say that Buddy's gel-pens are ready for pickup. The wind is howling and the 'feels like' is about 30 below zero.
955am: The plan is to warm up the Elantra and then pick up the gel-pens: 1015am- 1030am. Credit card machine was down so I should call in later, but I got to take the product.
1045am: FIVE MILES AT 4.0 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and began the documentary, 'Divide & Conquer- The Story of ROGER AILES'. Thirty minutes left to go and I'll finish when I do 2 miles later this afternoon.
Weights: 3 sets/ 15 reps
Reading 'THE DA VINCI CODE'
245pm: Called Brewer and paid for the gel-pens.
***340pm: Left ankle pain. Feels like a sprain. TWO MILES AT 3.8- 3.9 PACE AND ZERO SLANT and finished the Roger Ailes documentary. A fat slob is taken down in a sex scandal, yet his outrageous sexual behavior was only secondary to his far more unsettling vision of a racist & divisive America.
440pm: In the tub with 'THE DA VINCI CODE' and listening to THE RICHARD THOMPSON BAND- 'More Guitar'; JOHN MELLENCAMP Playlist.
Began Netflix disc 'SUMMER OF SOUL'. A documentary about The Harlem Cultural Festival in the summer of 1969 that showcased Black talent in Mount Morris Park, Harlem. It featured the best of Black Music of the late sixties and featured The Chambers Brothers, Muddy Waters, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The 5th Dimension, The Staple Singers, Stevie Wonder, etc. 300,000 people over six weekends. Shut it down at 1' 26" minutes with a half hour left to go. I'll finish this tomorrow after the Morning Movie.
***Left Ankle is definitely injured and I'll be going to Planet Fitness or Esporta tomorrow so that I can use the bikes and the cross trainer instead of just the treadmill.
